Anyone been watching this? It's on BBC here in the UK. Stars Sam Rockwell as movie/theatre director Bob Fosse (directed the movies "Sweet Charity", "Cabaret", "All That Jazz" and the like, as well as dozens more movies and Broadway shows) and Michelle Williams as Broadway legend Gwen Verdon. Plus there's people playing the characters of other real well-known Broadway legends like Liza Minnelli, Dustin Hoffman, Shirley MacLaine and many, many more.

Fosse/Verdon tells the story of "the romantic and creative partnership between Bob Fosse and Gwen Verdon. He was a filmmaker and one of theater's most influential choreographers and directors; she was the greatest Broadway dancer of all time. Together, they changed the face of American entertainment — at a perilous cost."

The story of the entire series unfolds through back and forth flashes of the couple's relationship through the years. It includes the reversals of power and status as well as the contexts that let it all happen. In addition, it also presents Fosse and Verdon's contribution to the entertainment industry despite their personal problems.

It's very, very good! Anyone who's a fan of/into theatre (especially Broadway) and the like will love it but dramatically it's great anyway.

I watched the first two episodes and was mildly confused about the timeframe (which I probably shouldn't have been.... it just goes backwards, right?), but I'll try and catch up on it before Michelle Williams wins all of the Emmys
