Don't worry, give it a bit of time and you wont need to go all the way to Dover to reach the sea

I'm pretty sure people who are annoyed by protests will be far more aggravated when our world is beyond repair and we're facing apocalyptic conditions that are beyond the point of fixing.

protesting is good, but not today when it is world cleanup day when we all can make a difference, at least cleaning the beaches of plastic, and on larger scale cleaning the oceans of plastic, in doing so we can save all animal and plant life in the ocean

The environment is my strongest political conviction, and things like this make me feel collectively embarrassed, like when your drunk friend throws up into a pram or something.

The phrase "Green New Deal" should be replaced; even if it's a generic term, it's been tainted by the ridiculous thing which was recently proposed in the USA

And what could they do with the current administration?

Trump even banned individual states and cities from setting their own emissions targets.

They are taking the moron to court

They could at least start the conversation. Organize public meetings with the protesters. Engage somehow.
This thing is not going away, it will get worse.
