So sorry to hear views like this from you Mr Trumpet, Mrs Grim Reaper has always said good things about you but you clearly have no idea what you're talking about on this issue. Absolutely nothing to do with greed it's about some grubby little bastard who's sat in his palace in Switzerland trying to sink all Royal Mails standards and commitment to the 6 day universal service to the bottom of the swamp. Rico Back trashed the German postal service and has come to do the same here. Also the court ruling is an absolute farce caused by obvious political pressure and I should point out that the ballot of RM staff took place weeks before any date for general election being announced, and by the way the ballot was the biggest turn out and yes vote of any Union action in the country so what makes it right for all our votes to be dismissed and we be forced to comply with the wishes of some bastard who can't even be bothered to be personally present at negotiations! Just saying and nice to meet you!

The ballot for this strike was taken way before any general election was announced and got the biggest turn out and yes vote ever! Nobody votes for strike action lightly don't forget none of us get paid during a strike! |

I hope they appeal, what is the point of having rights and organisations to protect those rights when private enterprise can take court action to have those rights overruled?

That is the biggest load of toss I've ever heard any one have the neck to claim as a viable reason! Firstly not all that many posties work in their own delivery offices and second I actually do work in my office and I pick up my own mail everyday.. I took my ballot paper home and made my vote with Mrs Reaper present and with her consent I might add!

So any dispute can only be acted on so long as it doesn't disrupt Santa, leave it out? Do you know us Posties get to watch a video (are forced to watch) from the bosses and last week they said they would respect the vote and keep it live, meaning we wouldn't have to ballot again, so long as the threat to strike was taken off till after xmas. In other words they had no problem with any so called voting discrepencies and basically if we still wanted to strike after xmas when no one gives a **** that would be ok!!

Oh yeah instead they based it on some concocted bollocks from a nameless RM manager who is no doubt being well renumerated for his completely unsubstantiated evidence! You might not give a **** about your postal service in Scotland but we do down here mate!

Look I'm sorry to have to argue with you but you still don't get it (and I do know the details thanks), here some more details for you.. 110'000 people were balloted with a 76% turn out and a 97% yes vote which makes 81.0982 people voted yes. Not one person over the seven weeks since the ballot made any complaint to the overseeing authorities about being coerced into making a vote one way or the other. Royal Mail have clearly 'incentivized' some compliant twat manager to make up ****e that can't be proven and due to the political pressure that has been exerted upon the laughably impartial judicial system they decided to take that fake evidence as opposed to the opinions of nearly 82'000 other people...sounds like proper justice to me!

So right hijaxers for one thing I haven't even been at work to listen to gossip today and even if I had been we barely get time to talk to each other it's that pressurised! I don't know what/who you work for Trumpet but don't expect any help when you need it, s'pose you're just worried about not receiving your fan mail!

To be fair, Royal Mail / Post Office have always been the same. I remember when I was a kid my mum worked for Post Office and my Dad for BT, both were out on strike at the same time...dad was out for weeks. It crippled them financially and took years to recover from. No one takes strike action lightly when it directly impacts them and their families. This high court action seems to be a death knoll for the Unions if voted for actions can be over turned. We are all going to be minions soon. Sorry you're going through this Grim and Mrs Grim
