Mark Thompson
now a CEO at the New York Times. He has been viewing many changes in all media. Like Local Papers going under. Avoiding Market Failure Marr says taking BBC3 onto online only was wrong. Mark agreed. He kept saying the BBC and Ch4 as he worked there as well. He is far brighter than the Current BBC CEO Tony Hall. Great interview and he said many BBC3 shows end up on BBC1 anyway Saying BBC3 was a feeder. And Most Import to have Big Open Debates on the BBC future. Taking BBC3 onto online only was wrong then admits they all find their way to 1 and 2 anyway?
Seems it's existence as an actual channel wasn't really needed then. |

Yes But it takes away younger viewers from the main BBC on TV. BBC3 was needed as many other good shows stayed on the BBC3HD channel. Like When Blair was in power a Animation Adult Content "Monkey Dust" Was Great, ideal for BBC3 Last edited by arista; 19-01-2020 at 09:11 AM. |

Time to admit that over-the-air telly is dead and it's time to move to a full streaming model?

BBC needs to remain ''free-to-air'' and not go fully streaming service (which is offputting for elderly)
