He actually referenced this in his interview, he said it wasn't really a home just a concrete block

Plenty of those around here as well at the bottom of peoples gardens

To be fair I don't wanna defend him but unless we see the "cottage" it could easily just be a storage thing with a bed shoved in it.

That would be more far fetched than the eyesight thing though.

Well it is a farm, makes sense there'd be stuff like that in the land

...the point is, a couple of London millionares packing up themselves and their son to move into a barn is beyond far-fetched. Whether or not it's "pretty", it's a functional home (insulated, heated, running water and facilities) that a family can live in and thus it's a house... not an outbuilding.

True .... many farms have breeze-block out buildings around the land .. or maybe he was suggesting that the house they were living in was partially surrounded by breeze block buildings ?

At the end of the day if this was a labour MP or Jeremy Corbyn himself, they would of gotten a hell of a lot more abuse and grief .

So I'm glad they're calling out Cummings, but I'm also sick of hearing about him .

Apparently had an ear piece in today at PMQ's so he could be helped answering questions.

The country overwhelmingly voted for this ****

Edit: I've since seen the pic, and no, he didn't have an ear piece in.

Interesting.. two high profile people caught breaking the rules and citing the ‘eye test’ as an reason ..

Here’s a snippet

Oakeshott said: “I work on the Isle of Wight all year round. It is where I go to write. I have stayed alert, washed my hands regularly and, as always, enjoyed my time on this paradise isle. Now and again I’ve also tested my eyesight, which seems to be in good order. Along with the rest of the nation, I am delighted at the recent decriminalisation of barbecues.”

Kirsty Brimelow QC, of Doughty Street Chambers, said: “The law at that time prohibited a person leaving or being outside where they were living without reasonable excuse. Amendments on 13 May 2020 did relax the law, including a reasonable excuse as being in a public open space for ‘open-air recreation’ with one member of another household. However, it did not include a private garden.

The tories doing away with oversight, and purging non conformists should be a concern to everyone, but it won't because, well, we're British and that could never happen over here, but this is exactly what wannabe despots and autocrats would do.
