As some if you might remember I had a new kitchen fitted one of the improvements was that I could have a electrical cooker as o have gas now

So tge new state of the art cooker will be in my big house by the end of this month

Gas to an electric is a downgrade.

incorrect

While it might be cheaper to operate a gas stove for your needs, you waste more energy with gas. Seventy-four percent of the energy produced on an electric range is transferred to food, compared to about 40 percent on a gas range.

Agreed....everything cooks quicker too with gas. When I first rented a house when I left home it had a full gas cooker with a gas grill... best toast I ever had (and I lived on it for a while )

Now I have a range cooker with gas hob but electric oven....and I still miss that old cooker

Hob yes, oven no. Near impossible to cook properly on an electric hob because you can't control the temperature quickly enough. But electric fan-assisted ovens cook far more evenly and consistently than gas.

We have to wait 6-8 weeks for ours, so you are lucky Michael.
Nice new cooker so you can cook lovely meals for Charlotte.

Electric all the way for me.
Used both both in catering kitchen and at home, no brainer.
Induction is the way forward for us.Cleanand controllable.
