Prince Harry has been slammed for 'snubbing the Queen' after he announced on Friday that he will not be returning to the UK later this month to attend the high-profile memorial marking the passing of the Duke of Edinburgh - but will reportedly head to The Hague for the Invictus Games in April….

……Royal biographer Angela Levin has slammed the Duke as a 'child stamping his feet' over the decision and said the move was tantamount to 'blackmail', warning the Duke could use dropping out of major events at the last minute as leverage to secure personal protective security in the UK.
Levin warned that although Harry 'has snubbed the Duke of Edinburgh but really he is snubbing the Queen' who is still 'grieving the loss of her husband of 73 years' - and was only given 15 minutes advance notice of Harry's announcement on Friday evening.

'He has got this all wrong. If he comes over for a royal event he gets police protection. What they won't do is, if he goes out with his friends he gets security. He'll probably use this same excuse to try to get out of the Platinum Jubilee celebrations,' she said.
'It's all about "me, me, me" rather than going out of his way for his grandmother and showing her he cares. He's behaving like a child stamping his feet'.
Shunning the memorial later this month, particularly one which will honour his beloved grandfather, is likely to add further tension to his already strained relationship with his family.
……………………..
How come he also attended the Super Bowl and a rodeo in Texas with all those gun toting Texans…he's full of S***.

"He hopes to see the Queen soon"?
Won’t he need security in case she takes a swipe at him with her handbag?

He came back for Prince Philip’s funeral so I guess he will do the same for his grandmother.

Wonder what security he had at that rodeo he went to recently or the superbowl

If he is attending a memorial wont he benefit from the security around that event..then its straight back to the airport in an uber wearing a cowboy hat ..job done

Isn’t he one of the #bekind brigade ...doesn’t extend to himself obviously...the best thing the press could do is block all stories about him ...starve him of the publicity oxegen he craves

Tourre Bakahai (Twitter)
Ukrainians are burying their dead in mass graves. Hospitals and schools are under attack. Millions of refugees are looking for sanctuary in countries including Britain....Haz says he can't honour his war hero grandfather in London because it's too dangerous.
.......
Whoever Tourre is, he's spot on.

He has young children and is under no obligation to do anything other than what's best for them. That's just how it is for the first 10 years or so of having kids, for everyone, surely.

That doesn't add up.
He can go to the Superbowl and a rodeo in Texas in the gun toting USA with his 'not good enough' security, but can't attend a memorial service for his grandfather with the top notch security that will be covering all the Royals?

It might not have been Niamh.
It happens all the time with H&M and royal threads. They disappear for little reason when members have put their time and effort into posting. Other threads can be full of personal insults and they don’t get zapped.
It gives the impression to many, rightly or wrongly, that the mod/mods responsible are big H&M supporters and anti - monarchist.

Harry is at more risk in the UK than he is in the US. I think surely you do know that. The chances of anyone at the Superbowl seeing Harry and saying anythibg more than "Hey... Hey y'all! Ain't that that British Prince guy?? Henry? Barry?"

He's at risk in the UK the same way any member of the Royals are, which is why they are heavily protected. He is the Future Kings son and has upset a large number of Royalists so that opens up another level of danger to him and his family

So has Prince Andrew but he was still driving around on public roads, snapped by the paps

What’s someone going to do him, throw a coronation chicken at him?

I don't think we needed a big announcement though of his non attendance. That's just poking the bear at this point and will get his detractors more riled up. He could have just informed the family of his decision.

I was forgetting that there wasn't any terrorists or crazy gun toters in the US. Why the Royals get even higher security when they go there is just ridiculous.

Its a load of bollocks....its a feeble excuse to get out of visiting. Meghan simply does not want to come...and Harry finds himself in that awkward position of having to find an 'excuse' everytime they get an invite for one thing or another...
He has finally found one he can use time and time again....he is in more vulnerable where he lives now...its a joke.
