This Witch doesn't burn
|
TikTok influencer said her son was temporarily taken from her by child protection authorities after she posted a video of her husband pushing the child around while he was tightly wrapped from the neck down in cling film.
Savanah Glembin - who has 1.1 million followers on TikTok - appeared tearful in the video to camera following the initial incident that led to her son being taken away by authorities. 'Gunner (their son) has been taken from us until CPR (Child Protection Register) can evaluate our home because I posted a video of my husband and son playing,' she said. The initial video sparked concern from many who watched the short clip of the young child, who appears to be about two-years-old, tightly swaddled in plastic wrap and moved around by her husband Hank. Many TikTok users commented how they were left feeling uncomfortable and disturbed by the video which has now been taken down. However, user @auntkaren0 reposted the video, calling it 'feels like abuse'. The small child appears unable to move with both arms strapped down to the side. At one point the boy is placed standing on the bed before he falls forward onto his knees, unable to move his arms and constrained by the cling film. The father jokes: 'He's a worm.' 'If you have a grumpy toddler all day, this is the only way,' Glembin is heard saying in the background of the video. His father, in military uniform, then places the tightly wrapped child face down on the bed before being flipped over onto his back. User @auntkaren0, who reposted the video said: 'I don’t see what’s funny here. I don’t understand how putting your toddler in an uncomfortable position is funny and then posting it for views. 'Not only did you not just do this for your own entertainment, you thought this was going to be everybody’s entertainment. 'This is why I don’t like family channels like this, because they will go to any length for views.' https://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/world...e792e34b&ei=11 Thoughts? personally I think it was the right decision, the child is being exploited for views and at 2 wont have understood why he was wrapped in cling film and it cant have been a particularly pleasant experience for the mite

TikTok is FULL of videos of parents making their kids cry "for a laugh" and filming it for likes.
It reminds me of the "daddyoffive" thing on YouTube where the whole family (Dad, step mum and some of the older kids) were basically bullying and tormenting one of the younger ones constantly for likes and views. YouTube community got together and reported them to local authorities and him and his sister were removed and full custody given to their bio mum. https://time.com/4763981/daddyofive-...prank-custody/ The below is a quote from "Daddyofive" himself aftrerwards - which I think says it all. “It started out as family fun,” Mike Martin said, noting that the star power of YouTube views made him want to keep making videos. “It started with me and my kids, but then it was just about making a video and then making the next video more crazier than the next.” . . The kid could be loving it though. His fathers 2 years of love could mean the kid already fully trusts him, so may not be panicked in the slightest. He could be having the time of his life for all I know, having not seen it.

Completely immobile with his arms strapped to his sides, he falls to his knees as tears start welling in his eyes.
Gunner appears completely terrified as he topples over onto his back. Savannah’s husband (who is in his army uniform), smiles as he manoeuvres the boy around. Savannah is heard saying in the background: “If you have a grumpy toddler all day, this is the only way.” She then focuses on her dog for the next part of the video, laughing while zooming in on it jumping up and down on the bed. The text on screen reads: “Butter’s making her cinematic entrance.” Meanwhile, Gunner is seen in the background being shoved face down onto the bed by her husband. “He’s a worm,” he jokes. Then, as the boy lies still on the bed, he lets out a small groan as if he’s in pain. doesnt sound like he was having fun

And how can a toddler fully wrapped in cling film fall to his knees...he would just fall forward cause of his rigidness.

If the toddler is scared then its abuse, and the toddler needs monitored by social service, after a separation assesment procedure.
