|
Scottish people do pronounce their "ts" differently than other English speakers. They tend
to use a "glottal stop" sound instead, which is made by briefly closing the vocal cords. This can make the "t" sound in words like "butter" sound more like "bu'er" to non-Scottish speakers. |

perhaps, but I couldn’t azackly’—that was always the substitute for exactly, in Peggotty’s militia of words—‘bring my mind to it.’ |

i modify how i talk to match the people i am with. Strong glaswegian doesn't get you very far in the south of england
