He'll likely spend the rest of his days in a mental facility - I'd frankly rather be in a "standard" jail.

There is some outcry in the city about the verdict. There is belief he got away with it which is not true

For me the real issue is how he was arrested a number of times for violent crimes but was let back into the community with a history of mental health issues. The fact that he stabbed Miss Kumar over 20 times leads to this being a frenzy attack/killing spree

As I am from the area, I've built my own timeline of the events. This guy was walking for hours and the area he covered is around a couple of miles in total.

The first murder is quite close to the city centre, then he walks out of the city centre for a couple of miles, tries to break in to the supported living complex - which is no where near the city centre -, encounters Ian Coates, murders him steals his van then head back in to the city. He must have driven right by a police station then heads back up to where he committed the first crimes and then he is eventually apprehended

When I was going clubbing I always took a cab home. It's just not safe to walk at night anywhere.
Unfortunately they were at the wrong place at the wrong time

The so-called 'justice system' in this country stinks.

It isn't justice. Too many fookin' do-gooders in the legal system.

It’s been like this for ages .. my old mum used to sat that we were too soft on crime and it would come back and bite us - decades ago
