Default Over 100 Dead: Hawaii wildfires: Spread fast with Hurricane Dora

[The flames were fanned by Hurricane Dora,
which passed by the south of Hawaii - gusts of wind up
to 65mph (100km/h) hit the islands earlier this week.]

Spoiler:

[Lahaina is a historic town on the
western tip of Maui.
Its centre dates back to the 1700s
and is on the US National Register
of Historic Places.

At least 270 buildings have been destroyed
in the picturesque resort,
which is home to about 12,000 people.]

Hurricane Dora caused it to spread far across the island
wrong time for a Fire.

My daughter-in-law and the three kids live on Maui.
Rather concerning, I have been out of touch with them for a little while as our son is having marital issues.

Death count is 36
many had boats to escape the Island

Ch4HDnews showed tourist panic breathing
having to run.

The Massive Wind Gusts
changed it all.

Many now have no power.

The Island of Maui
is still on fire

Sad that Fantastic Island
had that Hurricane lifting the Fires
so fast.

Dora has now moved away

67 now dead.

Sadly, 100's are missing
so the death toll with rise.

Due to the Winds
the Fires burnt phone lines
and all Internet went down,
so many were not alerted in time

A lady (Alice Lee) spoke Live from Maui, Hawaii.

The Hurricane Dora Effected Maui the worst.

It will be 100's
after all the bodies are located

Yes but if a kid started a fire
they would not know the Hurricane Dora
would stay too long.

There are bitter poor folk
on that island

One lady was seven months pregnant
she had loads of stuff bought,
all was left behind as she ran for her life.

Good SkyNewsHD
has their North of England Lady reporter there
Currently based in the USA.

Sad BBC
as sent their up market Hollywood
blonde lady reporter (she lacks emotions).

[The cause of the fires has not been determined]

Something stinks, here
by now they know how the Fire was started
but refuse to say it.

Whoever started the Fires
is the killer, that is wanted by Police.

Reporters were at the Press Conference
Had the Police Chief saying they could not let people
back in some areas

He stated they were picking up dead people
in bits, so it will take as long as it does

Many Died
as No Outside Siren went off.

["The sirens should have been sounded,
" said Sherlyn Pedroza in Lahaina. Ms Pedroza, 20,
lost her family home in the fire last week.

"It would have alerted at least some people
stuck at their house - work was off,
school was off - it would have alerted
them to get out."

As she finished speaking, Ms Pedroza and her friend,
Heather Tabilin spotted a neighbour from Lahaina,
Alfred "Uncle Al" Dasugo, who they had not seen
or heard from since the fires.
They ran to him crying and hugged him.
"We didn't know if you made it,"
Tabilin said. Uncle Al just smiled.]

Disgusted how this story has fallen off the headlines yet we had to hear about the turkey earthquake for weeks on end.

What are you all suggesting ??

Surely as temps rise , more droughts etc

Then as certain areas are far drier than normal they are like tinder boxes ..

It all seems quite logical to my mind
