[Emmerdale's Matthew Wolfenden has reportedly quit his role as David Metcalfe on the ITV soap after 17 years. The actor, 43, who first joined the show in 2006, is said to be ready for a change and his exit could lead to his alter ego being killed off. A source told The Sun: 'Matthew has had an amazing time on the soap, but feels ready for a change. He hasn't been getting any gritty storylines recently so wants to see what else is out there. 'He's a fan favourite so will get a lot of support in whatever he decides to do next,'. Before adding: 'He's very excited about the opportunities available. He's only just announced he is leaving, so scriptwriters are working out his on-screen exit. It's possible David could be killed'.] https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbi...illed-off.html Last edited by arista; 20-08-2023 at 06:15 AM. |

Awful character. Will be glad to see the back of him. I doubt Emmerdale will kill him off mind.

It’s not like he’s a decent character played by someone who seems capable of actually acting, and he’s been on his toes for a while. Good riddance to bad rubbish.
