Default Should Royal Mail be replaced

I mean its absolutley pathetic! the country depends on Mail, and today is another day of strike action, important letters will be lost, you never see any other public service on strike so patheticly

My Dad works for TNT and he was told a few months back that TNT might be taking over from the Royal Mail with the post and parcels. As far as I know Royal Mail deliver the post for TNT.

There is sadly much truth behind your comment.

Today there were some unofficial strikes and most people who were not affected received no more than junk mail shots as this type of mail is given priority to avoid corporate compensation on a massive scale.
I got one letter only, an invitation to borrow money at 12% interest .lol

Royal mail has been slowly replaced by private enterprise for the past few years and whether they like it or not that rate will now increase.

I have already put a new plan in place for posting next week when the next strike is due.

I used only the Royal Mail for the past 35 years, but in recent times I have used companies like DHL , TNT etc.

In fact the Royal Mail became so unreliable that I felt obliged to
send nearly everything recorded or next day delivery, and that cost really mounts up.

I certainly don't wish to cause you any offense and apologize if I have. Please understand that some of our business lives depend so heavily on the post that the frustrations do spill over. Honestly I have lost so much mail in recent times and not just during strike times. I really believe that the public have a right to a top service,
nothing more and nothing less.

Yes sometimes it's happening too and t's very very very annoying ! We pay for everything and then we don't have our letters or boxes, this is strange. Or even worse, sometimes they steal what the letter contains: clothes, money and stuff. This is scandalous but well....

If the government decided to privatise the Royal mail and release it to the private sector, like they did with the telephone companies. I can assure you that there would still be problems and strikes. Every postman, dustman, fireman, an so on has rights to demand decent pay. If they are unhappy, then they go out on strike. That is how it works.

Yeh, most of the Mail have got lost in Royal Mail, I dont mind DHL as the mail from overseas is quicker than Royal Mail.
