Default Why do you think Hope aren\'t more popular?

Hope never really receive any negative comments from the judges but they've ended up in the bottom two a couple of times now but why do you think this is?

Have the judges bigged them up too much and the audience and peorhaps feel they are overrated? or are they just not connecting with the audience?

Maybe it's the demographics of the people who vote on the show. Maybe they just don't like girl bands.

Or is it "girls aloud" and the "spice girls" voting for the other bands because they know Hope are a better band than them.

It might be because they're manufactured from singers rejected at Boot Camp, and people think that the contestants still on their first chance deserve it more. That's what I think too, although I have gotten over it a while ago and think Hope are one of the strongest acts left.

More older people are likely to be voting and I don't think the female demographic (who probably vote more) are into 'sexy girl bands'. They'll be voting people like Leon or Rhydian.

IMO Simon has bigged them up too much. They arent the best band to appear on the X Factor, when he said about Lady Marmalade, that annoyed me cos they didnt sing msot of that. But i think its because they performed very sexy and people dont want ot see that all the time

What ever happens I can still see them releasing a single and signing a contract. You just have to listen to the judges and you know someone will pick them up as a band and give them a chance. A girl band that can sing live is a rare thing these days.

I think that maybe girls dont like them because they are jealous of them or think they are sluts. Older people wouldnt like them as much either as they arent their type of artists really, opposed to Rhydian or Niki.

I still don't know what people see in Rhydian. He is BBC Radio 2 material. It just so dated.

Hope should have a bright future. They can sing and they will look good in video's and posters. Given the right material they could shine.

I think they've generated a hate-club from the Futureproof fans, which there were a lot of.

Simon and Louis think there is a gap in the market for a girl band so they will get a deal whatever happens. The other acts need the votes more.

They aren't popular because they haven't anything new to show: it's just a manufactured girls band, with no personality and no talent. I guess that people want to see some artists, with their own world, their own personalities and a proper voice. Hope has any of them.

Its cause there nothing special very overated only 3 of them are good looking and only one can really sing plus they are 5 rejects that were worse than kimberley,Emily and Alisha cause if they were that much better then they would have made it to the live finals without being put into a group.

Because people like myself, don't think they are any good. People are starting to see that it is only Phoebe that can sing, and even so, is not the best singer in the competition. I still don't see any sparks between them and I don't see them as a proper girl band yet. They are just 1 good singer and 4 back-up singers. Last Saturday the backing track really carried the girls through the performance.

I don't think they're good.
Pheobe's the only girl to show she has any vocal talent.
I haven't seen any of the other four do anything but backing vocals.
They're turning into 'Pheobe and four backing singers'
which is sad.
since Pheobe deserves to last in the competition.

Plus I reckon most of their votes come from their.. revealing costumes.
Afterall, they spent two weeks showing off every bit of their body, and the week they cover up to 'show off their real vocal talent', they're in the bottom two.
That really tells you something eh?

I dont understand why they're are not more popular. I like them and they do have some talent. Not much but much more that Girls Aloud had when they started.

Thing is I think we need another girl band. There's too many crappy boy bands at the moment, Westlife, McFly, Take That ect. Girls Aload and The Sugababes are our best Girl bands.

I like Hope, I think even if they don't win they will get a contract.

They may not win the competition but they'll surely get some kind of record deal. They're better than Girls Aloud were at this stage in their careers.

I heard Girls Aloud were going to split up soon though, I did think it was a bit odd when Louis kept rabbiting on about "there's a gap in the market" for them. Personally I'd have thought there was more of a gap for a boyband (I say this as Take That and Westlife are manbands and McFly don't really come under boyband either)

A large proportion of people watching the X Factor do not vote. I certainly don't. I would, but I see it as a waste of my money. However, the people that do vote are young teenage girls who have credit on their phones and decide that they fancy Leon, so they vote for him. Within two years they'll have outgrown that phase, and Leon would no longer have a pop career. They really need to vote for people like Hope because Hope could quite realistically be fashion idols etc. to young girls if they became an established band. It's just at the moment, the young girl vote goes to Leon or Same Difference, and the elderly/middle aged voters go for Rhydian, Niki or Beverley. Sad but true. I really don't want Hope to leave, I'd like it if they won.
