Pete Doherty has reportedly been evicted from his 9-bedroom mansion in Wiltshire. The singer is currently in Wormwood Scrubs Prison serving a 14-week sentence for breaking the terms of his probation. While he's been behind bars, Pete's landlord has been round to view the property – and it's said he wasn't too pleased. 'He destroyed the place by scribbling on the walls, the floor, anywhere he felt like it,' a source claims. 'The beautiful curtains were ripped down and his cats are just running around abandoned. 'It's a pathetic state of affairs. No one in their right mind is going to rent him a property after what he did.' Meanwhile, Stefano Passantino, founder of clothing company Last Season, has set up a Pete Doherty Welfare Fund to get him back on his feet when he leaves jail. 'I'm a huge fan who wants to see this gifted bloke given every chance to get back on his feet,' he tells the Daily Mirror. 'I want to see Pete performing and writing new material for years to come. I'll do what I can to help Pete leave the bad stuff behind him. 'I'll give him a job, feed him, clothe him - but I won't wash him, that's asking too much.' Pete was moved to a high security unit last week after allegedly receiving threats from other prisoners. |
