Default Big brother is moving to 10pm is this the right move for the show

i personally think if they want to atract a larger audience they should keep it at 9

I think its the best move C4 could have made.

There is no competition at 10pm and its going to get more viewers. At 9pm there is competition for the same audience Big Brother is trying to attract so its a great move.

Its a much better move. 10pm is more suited for the programme. I'm glad!

BB is an adult format and should not be censored as long as it remains in the remit of the broadcasting code. It is about time they secluded the main highlight shows from children completely. PIN control should be the order of the day.

A waterted down version can easily be repeated for kids to watch the following day..

Although the above is what i believe should happen I doubt it will. The first sight of a bare big toe and the camers will cut cut cut...As per usual in our childish and prudish nanny control freak state we live in will continue to treat adults like babies while allowing kids to watch perverted story lines and bad social examples in TV soaps.

Much better at 10pm - it's not supposed to be a programme for the family, it's an adult show with an adult audience, and did incredibly well at 10pm for it's first six years.

It will get a bigger audience at 10pm as the BBC and ITV show the news then - and it'll also get a more loyal audience as the competition is pretty much constant, rather than at 9pm where one night they might do well, but the next night there maybe something on BBC1 or ITV1 which will attract viewers away from BB.

I think it will be great! The last series to show at 10pm was BB5 which got the second highest viewings after BB3!

There's usually a great deal more competition in the 9pm slot, so I think it's for the best moving it back to 10pm.

10pm is where Big Brother spent its heyday. BB8 was the first summer series to go out mainly in the 9pm slot. Isn't that enough evidence to put it back to 10pm?

More people are out in the summer and late on is when people start to come back in and get settled. There is also no competition from Monday-Thursday from other channels at 10pm because of the news.

If kids want to watch Big Brother then there are plenty of opportunities to catch watered down and censored versions during the day.

I don't think it will affect the regular viewers as such - an hour won't make much difference to them, and they'll still watch. The only problem is that it may lose out on younger viewers, but then BB is sometimes considered to be for older viewers anyway. And, having said that, if youngsters still want to watch it'll be their summer holidays as well. It's more difficult to keep tabs on what they watch on TV during this period.

I also think it's not a bad idea in the sense that those who may watch a programme at 9pm (and aren't regular BB viewers), might just tune in to BB after said programme just to see how this new series is. All the producers have got in mind is the show's best interests, and Channel 4 cares about its ratings. If they manage to pick up more viewers through spreading out their shows, then that's all the better for them.

most of the audience is 16-24 year olds and it doesnt realy bother me. i think they dont have to be as cautious about what they're editing at 10pm

10pm is the best time. Its reduces competition on that time slot and so more people will tune in.

Untill the press pack is released on Tuesday we won't know for sure. The first HL show on Friday is on at 9:00pm anyway.
