..your theory about the divide seems very possible.

plus the mix up with all the plans, etc is understandable because its one hell of a confusing house!! :S

Maybe the rich side are aloud to smoke anywhere outside and they aren't forced to smoke in a designates area, hence being no ash tray. The poor side might have to sit in the ash tray which is humiliating.

What if its mix and match? Rich bedroom with poor bathroom and poor bedroom with rich bathroom? Only one combo allowed?

i think this may happen but if it is true the kitchen we have seen would probably be the poor side as if you look at the entrance there are two eyes blue and brown everything left of the brown eye has brown walls at harsh angles etc like the kitchen and on the same side is the poor bedroom. On the blue side the walls are blue and the nice bathroom is there.

I've got a few images and circled some things that could proove this theory right.

the pink cicles show there are lights above the two doors leading outside why would they need two lights? why would they even need two doors?
the red circle shows there is not a light above the blue door. these lights i keep mentioing are green when the door is unlocked and red when locked. they have been in big brother for a while and are only above the doors which housemates use daily.
the orange circles show door handles on the blue panels. why would they need cupboards there?
the green circle shows a split in the carpet abit unlickley but this could be wear the physical split if there was one could go.
also note the sofas one is a light colour the other is dark . heaven and hell?

here shows the two eyes the firey brown/red one and the watery blue one.
you can see the colour of each eye continues to the side of it.
the wall seems to be made of 3 pannels could the two either side be big one way doors?

Thanks everyone! I thought i would have a lot more people disagreeing with me!

What really makes me belive the split is the 2 doors leading out to the garden!!!! Why 2 doors!?

Same. The rich side get a great open space with huge glass doors, while the poor side get that crappy green door. Thats the main reason for me thinking your theory is right. The second most convincing thing is the raised decking area in the garden.

I really can't see this divided house thing happening, they've already done this in Big Brother 3 and using it again would probably slaughter the whole show. There could be other explanations to suggest why the house has been constructed like it has.

I agree with Matt08. Double Trouble, your theory is completely delicious and believable. I think there will be some sort of a divide, though not to the extent of BB3.

Exactly. We will have to wait and see. Well done on the theory though. It was ace, and really really interesting.

I think there will be a divide, not to the extent of BB3 though, I think the housemates will be allowed to interact and share certain areas. But some will be constrained to the basic bedroom only etc.

I think the divide and teams will focus much more on competition rather than rich/poor like in BB3.

I think the possibility of a split house is good but I'm really leaning towards the number 8 just being a red herring for speculation and there are two bedrooms, there will be a bigger table and new sofas moved in before launch night. However I want to be proven wrong! Its about time they shake up the format and make the housemates earn their life of luxury.
