I got a leaflet from sky digital thru my door and it says its £70 to install, then £16 a month! I might just have 2.....!!!

I can afford £16 a month but £70 upfront is 2 much for a poor student!

If you go to Dixons, they have a half-price offer to install Sky Digital - it only costs £25 to install! Then the monthly subscriptions on top of that.

But isnt that only for sky world subscriptions? I got a leaflet thru my door saying 'half price installation' but when you read the small print its actually only half price if you subscribe to one of the premium sky worl packages which cozt £35+ a month, the sky family package is £16 a month so you have to pay the full installation price of £70!!! Wot am I gonna do?! I cant afford it!!!!!!!!!! :b awling::baw ling:

Sorry ppp, I';ve just gone back and checked and you're right.

I suppose what you could do (very sneaky this) is subscribe to the movies of the sports as part of the "world" subscription, get it installed and then cancel the movies or sports on your second day, saying you don't think it was worth it after all. That way at least you've got the installation done already then!

Best to check the small print to make sure there's no minimum subscription length, but it might work!!
