I'll be living in Lancashire for 4 years and as of yet I'm not speaking like that. It's a lame excuse.

He's speaking like an American because he wants to be an image of glam and cool, it doesn't work.

That might be the case, but it's obvious that he puts it on to seem cool. You can distinct between his real accent and his "american accent"

People put on British Accents here, but nobody can take them seriously.

LOL

My friend was in America on holiday, and this waitress in a restaurant put on this very funny scottish accent and was telling her how she was like a third scottish because of her mums cousins daughters nephew or something like that.

I love hearing people trying to do a scottish accent

I love hearing Brits trying to do an American accent. Whenever I hear it, they always over-exaggerate the words.

i think i can do a pretty good one.
Too many nights staying up til the crack of dawn watching the o.c not good for the eyes!

Some people can do really good scottish accents, they always sound like men though and say their words with oooh in a deep voice. If you get me.
No?

Haha, well a lot of people can. Although, all the ones I've heard sound horrible.

I can't do or even try a Scottish accent.

It's so obviously a put on accent, it's not like it just slips in when he's speakinng.

He obviously thinks he is cool with that accent and tries to put it on as much as possible. He certainly hasn't grown up with that accent unless he has an American parent.

I remember that made me laugh too! lol.
It was something like "GAY IT UP!"

I think I can do a pretty good Scottish and American accent. When I try to do Scottish, I just think of Billy Connolly lmao, and when I'm doing American, I just think of any American movie star. lmao. I don't think Dennis puts the accent on to seem cool. I think it's to add effect. I know when I am saying something, sometimes it just develops in to an American accent. =S I don't know why. lmao.
