I suppose it depends on what you are looking for in a book as to what you might think of as good.
I like James Patterson if I am looking for a bit of crime/detective reading Terry Pratchet - Good Omens thats so funny yet has a big story to it Linwood Barclay - No time for goodbye - a really cool story to it Terry Brooks - fantasy type books Also look for the 2 for 3 offers in Waterstones you can pick up some decent books that way. |

If you're a fan of thriller/horrors, then Stephen King is the man you need. Recently read "Cell" and am in the process of reading "Blaze" (by his ghost name Richard Bachman) and "Salem's Lot". But he's most well-known for 'The Shining'. Erm...I also read politics-related books, but I doubt you're interested in that, lol... Don't read 'A Clockwork Orange'. It's so difficult As is Leo Tolstoy. |
