Just talking with Gavin about scary movies and how ones like Jeepers Creepers scare me when I'm driving alone at night because I'm thinking "Holy Cr@p what if it jumps on my roof and rips it off and eats me " and the movie "shrooms stopped me from walking through the woods on the shortcut to Tesco for 2 weeks.
Has any scary movie affected you in such a way? |

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I don't mind scary films like The Shining / The Grudge, it's just gory films I hate. Totally unnecessary to have blood and guts everywhere...it's revolting.
Then again, I feel queasy watching Casualty so maybe it's just me. |

Different scary films get different reactions but all make me change habits, for example when I saw the Exorcist I stopped going to church as the vicar scared me.
When I saw the Hostel I got put of cheap hotels in Europe, as they scared me for the same reasons in the film. When I saw Dawn of the dead, I stopped using Lidels Supermarket as the staff and customers started scaring me as they all work around that place in the same way |

I like Horror films but not many effect in huge ways any more.
When I was little though I used to get really affected. Like, when I watched American Werewolf in London when I was around 4-5? I had a fear of other people's dogs for a few years. There's other examples that I can't think of right now. I do get creeped out in the house I live in now since the lights are weird and are kinda like spotlights so at night the house is pretty dark at night especially on the landing where the computer is. If I've just watched something scary or creepy and thought of something like that I'll always get a horrible feeling that something is watching me as when i'm on the PC my back is facing the stairs. |

I can deal with films that have no gore. Gore makes me sick.

I watched Wolf Creek a few weeks ago and I've actually enver been so scared at a film. I couldn't even sleep, and I'm normally fine with them. WATCH IT!

Everytime I look through a door with a glass window in it I always think Michael Myers is going to pop up.
