Default Email i got back from C4 about canceling Live Feed

I made a complain and that's what i recieved

-----

Dear -------,

Thank you for your e-mail regarding the lack of red button streaming on this years' Celebrity Big Brother.

Last summer we found that rather than watching live streaming on red button, viewers much preferred watching more bite-size video clips from that day's action. During the series, there were almost 19 million clips viewed, a 58%increase. As this proved such a huge hit with fans, we've listened and responded to how viewers now consume Big Brother and so have decided to go this route this year.

However, streaming will still be available on Channel 4 throughout the night and also late night and in the afternoon on E4. We will also be showing all the other great shows that make up the Celebrity Big Brother experience, including seven nights of Celebrity Big Brother house action, Celebrity Big Brother's Little Brother, Celebrity Big Brother's Big Mouth and Diary Room Uncut.

Nevertheless, please be assured that your comments have been noted and logged. This log is distributed throughout Channel 4 for all to read. Your comments will also be brought to the attention of those who make CELEBRITY BIG BROTHER.

Thank you again for taking the time to contact us. We appreciate all feedback from our viewers; complimentary or otherwise.

Regards,

Penny Watson Channel 4 Viewer Enquiries

Penny Watson (if there is such a person) didn't write a word of that. A standard reply that doesn't address the issue of why we can't have the live feed AND the clips on the website. If that log exists it will be ignored as they have already made up their minds.

Seems that C4 are more interested in website hits than viewers.

Everyone has been getting the same email. They don't give a ****.

Even when people cleary point out that the bite-size video clips are different from the live feed and not a suitable replacement, they still send the same email.

Why are people getting so upset over this? You are still getting lots of coverage, it just means you can't waste your life away in front of the TV watching other people waste their lives away. Take it as a sign, open your door and enter the world. You get a highlights show every night, and loads of clips on the internet pointing out the best bits.

If you have Sky you can watch on the 'Secret Channel', so it won't make any difference for me.

The secret channel may not work.. all the secret channel is, is what pressing 'red' takes you too..

If there is no live feed, they won't broadcast it for it to get to the channel

But I would be wrong :\

Just because there is live feed doesn't mean people spend all day watching it. Just having it there at any time is good to know, if you have the free time it is good to watch especially if anything interesting is happening.

The reason people are pissed off is becaus the highlights and clips on the website will just be what BB wants you to see, people won't get to see the full picture anymore.

The live feed is also only what they want you to see and does not provide the full picture at all. I wish people would take their rose tinted glasses off when speaking about the live feed.

Tbh, not many watch the live feed during the day, so its pointless wasting time and resources producing something not well recieved when they could be doing something more people want e.g. video clips.

Well if it's what they wanted you to see they don't want you to see it any more.

Which is what we are complaining about.

There is a whole subculture of lu/whatm threads that has been pretty much destroyed.

That leaves far less for fans to debate about. It's BB death by stealth.
