Natasha Richardson has died, aged 45.
The British actress passed away from injuries sustained in a skiing accident, her husband Liam Neeson's publicist confirmed. "Liam Neeson, his sons, and the entire family are shocked and devastated by the tragic death of their beloved Natasha," said Alan Nierob. "They are profoundly grateful for the support, love and prayers of everyone, and ask for privacy during this very difficult time." Her family yesterday gathered at her bedside at Lenox Hill hospital in New York amid reports that she had been taken off life support. Richardson was hurt in a fall during a beginners' skiing lesson at the luxury Mont Tremblant resort in Quebec on Monday. Several news outlets later suggested that she was "brain dead" after suffering serious head injuries. Neeson, 56, flew to her side from the set of his new film Chloe in Toronto after hearing of the accident. Her mum Vanessa Redgrave, 72, sister Joely Richardson, ex-husband Robert Fox and aunt Lynn Redgrave also gathered at Lenox Hill, where she had been transferred from Canada, to say goodbye along with her sons Michael, 13, and Daniel, 12. Richardson, who lived in New York with her family, showed no obvious sign of injury after the fall, according to a Mont Tremblant spokesperson. However, the ski patrol took her back to the bottom of the slope and told her to see a doctor. She was taken to hospital about an hour later after complaining of a headache. http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/showbiz/...s-aged-45.html |

Martha Stewart, the lifestyle doyenne, was among the first to pay tribute. She wrote on her Twitter site: "Just heard the tragic news about poor Natasha Richardson. Her family must be devastated. My sincerest condolences to all." The director Nick Moore, who worked with Miss Richardson in her final film, Wild Child, said: "I'm shocked and deeply saddened by this. She was wonderfully generous and kind; a complete joy to be with." Mr Moore credited Miss Richardson for her "classy and special" qualities, remembering how she took time out to help children on the set. He added: "All the kids in the movie loved being around her. She pitched in and was great with them. She led by example." News of Miss Richardson's death has shocked America. Larry King, the veteran broadcaster, dedicated Tuesday evening's programme to her plight. Meanwhile People magazine, the leading celebrity publication, devoted its main front cover to a tribute to her life. In the UK, Michael Coveney, a critic for Stage magazine, said: "She was a great actress in her own right. I always felt we didn't see enough of her." News of Miss Richardson's death was released in a statement on Wednesday evening by a spokesman for Mr Neeson. It read: "Liam Neeson, his sons, and the entire family are shocked and devastated by the tragic death of their beloved Natasha. "They are profoundly grateful for the support, love and prayers of everyone, and ask for privacy during this time." |

Its horrible news, i remember watching her all the time in the Parent Trap, she was so young and beautiful... this whole Talk and Die thing is horrible, i thought it was very rare but apparently not. After the accident the doctors said she was okayy, and she was feeling fine and talking, but then it hit her and she died
RIP |
