Default Boycott of the C4 website gaining pace.

guys as some of you might know there was a thread on Digital spy durning CBB urging people not to visit the C4 website and more important NOT to view the online clips they deem far better than the live feed.

I would like to ask those people who are hacked off with the scrapping of the live feed If and I mean IF you feel you can please dont visit the C4 website and dont view the clips.

It seems C4 have gone into a state of lockdown the last 24 hrs with no further questions being answered so we assume they are getting the Generic reply ready to send out.

again I know for a lot this will be hard but I really do belive the only weapon we have left is to make sure the hits on the website are really low as they seem to use those figures to justify everything.

also please pass it on to youre mates..

many thanks

xxx

Considering the decision has been made despite the obvious outrage from fans, both on forums (and we know Digital Spy especially is monitored by TV folk) and directly via the complaints form, I really don't see what could change their minds, considering their mind is made up and they aren't interested in the show improving. All it would do is give them the excuse to ditch the website next year.

The most effective protest I can think of is getting the crowd on launch night to make their feelings known - but I still think it would be unsuccessful.

As I said I do fully understand if people feel they cant resist.
But i do have to disagree it wont make a difference as we saw in CBB
they got wind of the boycott for many it was the main reason they tied the tasks being passed with the amounts of hits Verne got..
BUT a US website linked the clip to its american website hence the number of hits they got when they tried it again with Tina it totally failed.
We know from the insiders they were deeply annoyed with the boycott thats the main reason that nonsense with the clips=passing came about.
II notice a poster said no feed AND no clips..when you notice what the clips really were 15 seconds of ads a 30 secs of footage then more ad..one does have to ask are you really happy with that?

I would love a chanting of "We want Live Feed back!" from the crowd on launch.... would be hilarious. Whoever goes from here or from other forums, spread it round and start the chant

We will still have live feed, 2.00pm - 4.00pm and 11.30pm - 6.00am... Ok not great but still better than no live feed.

I really am sorry about that try and imagine how boring its going to get...the 3 weeks of CBB turned into months.

It hasnt helped C4 press office promised the media they would get hourly updates so in turn they could update their own sites etc with new breaking stories...there was one time TWO days passed without any new updates even though things with coolio had kicked off..now if that doesnt smell iffy i dont know what does.
What I can promise you the subject im talking about will only remain in this thread i wont go hijacking other threads.

Considering how heavy edited they are would that be a bad thing?

Most of you guys know how websites work etc..they say money is the key issue weve now had it confirmed the 'many' workers who they claimed worked on the live feed is infact one member of staff working in the gallery per shift.
I really cant stress this point enough its only meant for people who feel very strongly about this idea.
and the entire reason it came about was for the fact 2 months straight C4 rammed the figures of the clips down peoples throats as the reason for first the internet feed being cut then the cut to CBB live feed.

thats great to know I fully understand why some feel its a push too far but i also respect their choice to carry on etc.
the dealings weve had with C4 have been quite frankly insane and this isnt Viewer enquiries its from the bosses and producers.
they seem to just bring out the hits for the clips more than anything to justify all the scrappings they have made.
Its really sad to see people arent taking on board what happened earlier this year most of the forums were dead with very little to talk about.
Its shocked me a little that people feel they can base an opinion on what they are going to be show in a highlight show and assume thats correct after the total farce of BB9..
I love the show totally adore it since BB1 but i hate how channel 4 have totally treated it and the fans.

Whoever holds the purse-strings at Channel 4 has made this decision.

They've also sacked a few forum mods over there.

So those who (used to) run the official C4 BB website won't be pleased by these developments either.

It's a false economy as BB is one of C4's biggest generators of commercial income and falling audiences are hitting that income hard.

heres the new generic reply.

Thank you for your e-mail querying the availability of the red buttoninteractivity on this years' BIG BROTHER. The red button 24-hour streaming facility was discontinued prior to the lastseries of CELEBRITY BIG BROTHER and we have no plans to reintroduce thisservice for the forthcoming summer edition of BIG BROTHER. However, streaming will be available on both E4 and Channel 4 latenight/early morning and we will be showing all the other great shows thatmake up the BIG BROTHER experience, like BIG BROTHER'S LITTLE BROTHER ANDBIG BROTHER'S BIG MOUTH as well as the latest clips from the house on ourdedicated Big Brother website. We appreciate that you are disappointed by this decision, but we hope thatdespite the lack of the red button service, you will enjoy this years'series. Please be assured all your comments have been logged as an officialcomplaint and have been forwarded for the attention of those who commissionand make this programme. Thank you again for taking the time to contact us. We appreciate allfeedback from our viewers; complimentary or otherwise. Regards,

Forget about the Live Feed people. No matter what you do or say, they wont reinstate the it.
People are really starting to annoy me, banging on about the same old stuff!

Channel 4's decision to axe the live feed - an an integral part of the Big Brother format - has angered a lot of fans, and they're not going to stop complaining because they annoy you.
