It probably won't be an early eviction as i could be this thing that made Davina gasp, so it's gotta be something good

Remember what happened in CBB6 one that finished at about that time... it got 1.9m (the 2nd lowest rating ever).
but the 11pm show when Lisa and Sara split that money in BB9 rated as well as the 9pm episode that day. Also with no other show splitting Big Brother up, it wont lose a huge amount of it audience especially if its a good twist.
I found that weird, I expected the CBB6 twist to do well like the BB9 one, but not sure why it was much lower. When was the exact time the CBB6 was on?? Im sure it almost ran onto midnight.(was it until 11:50pm?)
The CBB6 show only ran until 11:30pm I think, so it wasn't that late
I just think the CBB6 late show rated low compared to the BB9 show because CBB6 wasn't entertaining and couldn't keep viewers because of that

There was a lot of publicity and hype around the BB9 one as well, noone actually knew what was going on, there were even rumours that Davina was presenting from the garden at one point (wellies needed etc) and the papers picked up on it. Then it just turned out to be the last round of Goldenballs.

What rating did the late show in BB9 get? 11PM was a really late start!

I think the first Sunday long show sounds exciting, but think it's finishing too late

Ohh another reason is that CBB6 was on the night before people went to school/work, BB9 was in the summer where people were off work/school at that time... i was at holiday that time anyway.

BB9- 4 million (up 400,000 on the series average)
CBB6- 2 million (down 1.3m from serues average)

So there was a huge difference.

It's arguably C4 have seen sense actually. Having a show at 9pm and then the second at 10.50pm as planned would probably see that second rate lowly, but starting at 10pm it's easier to hold on to viewers after 11pm rather than asking them to come back.

Yes, but why not just start at 9pm?

Yeah i know, it was very low for CBB6 and BB9 did much better in the later weeks i would say. Mo and Kat's double eviction got 4.2m.
Just if you want to check the ratings, I got these ratings from Inside BB which has all the ratings.

Yes, but why not just start at 9pm?
Alan Carr is launching his chat show then, I think the original idea was to have Big Brother, Alan Carr, Big Brother which is ironically what happened last year with the late show (his stand up). By launching a chat show at 10.40pm they'd pretty much be writing it off before its even begun. So from C4 point of view, its either 9pm and probably a solid 3-4m across 10pm-10.40pm giving Alan Carr a good start, or 2 BB shows and the possibility of losing an audience.

It will be either:-

a) Someone has to do a secret task and on Sunday we find out if they passed or failed.

or

b) Sunday night games live which will decide which housemates will be put up for the fast eviction.
