Default Worst representation of the British/Britishness in films?

For me it would have to be that God-awful scene towards the end of Independence Day when ‘our’ pilots are in the desert spouting lines like, “Gosh, chaps! The Americans have found a way to lower the shields – it’s about bloody time!”

I hate that bit.

Come on Look at what us Irish have to put up with! Have you ever heard Tom Cruises 'Irish' accent in 'Far and Away' or Brad Pitt in 'Snatch'! Count yourselves lucky!

Anything with Hugh Grant in it usually ends up embarrasing for us.But btw i thought Brad Pitt in Snatch actually did quite well.

The moment in Love Actually where Hugh Grant, as PM, rebels against the US is humiliating.

It'd be ****ing stupid to make that kind of move because of a bloody tea-lady.
