The 11th season of "Gran Hermano" will start on September/October 2009.

The auditions started two weeks ago. There's a TV spot with a telephone number, they give you a nickname and a password and then people have to answer some questions in a website. In these 2 weeks, more than 20.000 people have called (me too ).

Next week, the producer will start to call people in order to do the castings. They didn't mention if there's going to be a bus travelling through Spain and looking for new housemates like last year.

The press conference took place yesterday, with the hostess Mercedes Milá and some of the producers. There are some news:

-the auditions start on Tuesday 21th July, in Madrid. Then, they'll go to eleven more cities (Málaga, Santiago de Compostela, Sevilla, Bilbao, Gijón, Zaragoza, Valencia, Murcia, Barcelona, Palma de Mallorca and Las Palmas de Gran Canaria).

-in each audition they'll see almost 1.000 people per day.

-almost 50.000 people have called to Gran Hermano.

-this year there's no bus, but they'll do parties in some discos, looking for people in them. They're going to give VIP cards to 200 people and they'll do the interviews there, in some kind of "Diary Room". Also, they'll look for new housemates in beaches, comercial centres and other places.

Long time since I wrote! Well, GH 11 started September 6th (Sunday) and this year is very exciting!

First of all there are 2 houses: the official (with 11 housemates) and the spy house (right now with 4 housemates). In this second house they have to spy the other contestants and try to guess who will be evicted each week, knowing who is up for eviction. The HM that does it well becomes an official HM and enters the main house. And at the beginning, in this second house, everybody had a secret.

At this point of the show, 3 people done it: Hans, Saray (daughter of one official HM) and Ángel. And 3 people have been evicted: Pilarita (Saray's mother), Siscu and Nagore... yeah, with 95%!!

Two more housemates were removed from the show: Gonzalo (he was too agressive) and Ángela (her secret was discovered, she is married to Laura, another housemate in the spy house).

One left the house: Lis.

And three new HMs entered the house 2 weeks ago: Carol, Carolina and Gerardo.

This happened in 1 month!

The ratings are like this:

A little bit more about the housemates:

SARAY: 27 years, from Ferrol (A Coruńa). She works in a bingo hall and defines herself as "nice, creative and extrovert". Also declares she has no flaws and is single. She loves cars and football. She started this season in the "spy house", but right now she's in the main house. Her mother was the first person to be evicted from the house.

ÁNGEL: 32 years, from Madrid. He works in a gym as pilates instructor and also studies a degree in Physical Education. He defines himself as "original and artist". He loves travelling, swimming and is singing all day. Also started in the "spy house" (his secret was a fake relationship with Lis) but right now is in the main house.

LAURA: 25 years, from Elche (Alicante). She's a shop assistant. Defines herself as "independent, fighter and perseverent". Loves fashion and says she has a lot of friends. Recently married to Ángela (who was removed from the spy house, because their secret was discovered), she hates the housework.

ÁNGELA: 32 years, from Elche (Alicante) but was born in Mexico. She entered the house by surprise, the hostess told her in the set that she was also a housemate. Actually removed from the show because her secret was discovered (her marriage with Laura).

TOSCANO: 23 years, from La Unión (Murcia). He loves sports. He's in a wheelchair because he had a motorcycle accidente when he was 16 years old. He plays basketball and also does swimming, scuba diving and tennis. He's living all by himself and defines himself as "very independent".

HANS: 41 years, from Moratalaz (Madrid). Right now he's not working. Defines himself as "very lively and happy" and says his mother is the most important person in his life. Loves ballet and baseball. Entered in the "spy house" (his secret was knowing all of the other secrets) but right now he's in the main house.

PILARITA: 52 years, from Ferrol (A Coruńa). Defines herself as "jovial, extrovert, vain and competitive". She has a great relation with her daughter (Saray) and didn't know she was in the "spy house" until she was evicted. She loves her friends and thinks that entering in GH is a unique experience. First housemate evicted.

INDHIRA: 23 years, from Málaga. Her father is from Bombay but she was raised in Málaga. She's studying a degree in Tourism and worked as a flight attendant. Defines herself as "untidy and vain". She loves to make herself up and being in the beach.

SISCU: 23 years, from Barcelona. Doesn't work at the moment. Defines himself as "sincere, loving, gossipy and obsessive about the cleaning". Loves cars and wants to be a sports commentator. Second housemate evicted.

JUAN: 28 years, from Zaragoza. His friends define him as "bull-headed, fun, loving and a really nice person". He has a 4 years old son. He's studying to be a police and had to lose 20kg. He loves dancing, reading and spanish movies.

TATIANA: 19 years, from Almería, but lived in Russia until she was 12 years old. Defines herself as "kind and fun" but also says she has a dark side when people pick on her. She's a hairdresser and her clients are "good friends" and practices rythmic gymnastics.

GONZALO: 31 years, from Argentina. He came to Spain 4 years ago because he had a bad break up and needed to move. Defines himself as "egocentric and narcissistic". He's an actor and loves football. Removed from the house because he was very agressive (specially with Pilarita).

REBECA: 28 years, from Hospitalet de Llobegrat, Barcelona (but was born in Granada). She has a degree in Business Studies and says she's very proud of herself. When she was little wanted to be a fashion designer and right now she's working as a shopping assistant. Says she has a double personality: "Rebequita" (the good side, always happy) and "Rebecota" (the bad side, when she's angry). Her best friend is a doll called "Rosita".

LIS: 31 years, from Barcelona. She's a businesswoman. Defines herself as "loyal, firm, positive". She hates cigarettes and is very impulsive. Abandoned by her mother when she was a little girl. She entered in the "spy house" and her secret was a fake relationship with Ángel. Left the house on day 12 (nobody spoke to her).

MELANIE: 23 years, from Tenerife. Defines herself as "ambitious, fighter, competitive and self confident". Loves fashion and worked as a model.

ARTURO: 32 years, from Irún (Guipúzcoa). Defines himself as "adventurous, a person who loves sports". Lives with his parents because he just came from California, where he lived 7 years. Has 3 children from 3 different mothers but he's actually single.

NAGORE: 26 years, from Basauri (Bilbao). Works as a fashion manager and defines herself as "posivite, fun and nice" but also says she has a strong character. She's addicted to 3 things: eating, sleeping and smoking. Loves her friends and when she was little defines herself as "obnoxious and bad-mannered". Third housemate evicted.

CAROL: 29 years, from Castro Urdiales (Cantabria), but lives in Donosti. Loves to go shopping, she does it almost every day. Defines herself as natural and doesn't care about what people say about her.

CAROLINA: 36 years, from Alcobendas (Madrid). She has a little daughter (3 years old) and wants to buy a house. Loves to go shopping and defines herself as "fun and sincere".

GERARDO: 38 years, from Majadahonda (Madrid). Has a degree in Business Studies and owns a handicrafts company. Loves women, freedom and defines himself as very competitive.

Arturo, Indhira, Tatiana and Toscano had to decide who kept her place in the show. Carol was evicted with just 1 vote (Arturo), while the other 3 housemates voted for Carolina.

The other % were: 24,3%, 19′4%, 2′9%, 0,9% y 0,3%. Melanie was the 7th housemate evicted (it was the first time for her).

Next week, an ex-housemate will become an official housemate again. Probably it will be between Ángela (Laura's wife) and Siscu.

Ángel won a trip to Perú, in order to help the people there.

8TH EVICTION

After Hans' eviction, Gran Hermano decided to repechage (I don't know if this is the right word) 3 ex-housemates. All of them (except Hans) entered the house again, but not with the official contestants.

After a week, the audience decided to repechage Carol (6th evicted); the ex-housemates decided to repechage Siscu (2nd evicted); and finally, the official housemates decided to repechage Pilarita (1st evicted). They became contestants again.

Nagore (3rd evicted with 95%) was favourite to enter again.

9TH EVICTION

EVICTED

Carolina, after 3 nominations, became the 9th housemate to leave the house.

There was a new round of nominations after that and the result was Arturo, Gerardo, Indhira and Toscano, but the only girl up for eviction was ejected by Gran Hermano.

She wanted to be up with Carol, her enemy (Indhira and Arturo had some kind of relationship in the house but Carol was flirting with him all week long, since she became again an official housemate). Finally, Carol wasn't nominee for eviction.

At 2 a.m., both of them started a fight and Indhira threw a glass of water at Carol and offended her saying "bitch, ****ing bitch". At 4 a.m., Indhira was removed from the house (after 82 days and 5 nominations). She was favourite to win this season.

After 88 days and 2 nominations, Toscano was evicted. He was defined as treacherous, false and bad player by some ex-housemates. Had a special relation with Tatiana that was broken when he nominated her three times.

After 63 days in total and 2 nominations, Carol was evicted. Her fooling around with Gerardo and Arturo decide her eviction. She had no personality.
