ITV News http://www.itv.com/news/entertainment_205610.html The immigration status of Big Brother contestant Makosi Musambasi is being considered by officials, according to a newspaper. The Zimbabwean has a permit to work in Britain as a cardiac nurse in High Wycombe but her case is being reviewed after she quit the job to appear on the show. A newspaper reported that the 24-year-old, up for eviction this week along with all 11 of her housemates, could even be deported. A source confirmed that her case is being looked into but would not comment on whether she would be thrown out of the country. A Home Office spokeswoman said: "We do not comment on individual cases." She added: "Where an employer informs that an overseas national has left their work permit employment their leave to remain is considered as appropriate." A Big Brother spokeswoman said Makosi's documents had been checked and added: "We are happy that she is a legal UK resident." Meanwhile, Lesley has called a truce in her war with Sam in the Big Brother house. Last night viewers watched the self-proclaimed bitch threaten Sam before being told off by Big Brother. Lesley, 19, is clearly concerned she is going to get voted out tonight and decided to make up with Sam, conceding she was a moody cow. Lesley has even donned her eviction outfit, a revealing policewoman's uniform - only to be completely ignored by the bored boys. She was upstaged by Sam and Makosi who stripped off to their underwear and streaked in the garden. Pics of the merry frolic are in all the tabloids, naturally. -------------------------------------------- imagine the shock of being deported straight after being evicted!! lol |

Oooh I wonder if they can really do that? The rules of being in the UK on a work visa and giving up your job is an interesting concept. |

If she is here on a work permit, then she probably only has limited leave to remain. And it's likely that a condition of her leave to remain is that she works in whatever job she had the work permit for, apparently a nurse. So she could face deportation if in breach of those conditions.
We could see Home Office Immigration Officials bursting into the house and dragging her off in the middle of the night!! |

You can just imagine.... 'Makosi please come the the diary room' and she never returns. The paranoia of the rest of the housemates would be great fun!!
