Default Sex on Fire guy without the audience ...

would have been rubbish. And with a different song as well. He was really shouty and only got through because he worked the audience because of the song he picked

Exactly.

They're looking for a singer for a recording contract. Sure he'd be good live but recording wise he's nothing special.

They give the contestants that option - I think its good, it'll show how they'll be if their in the finals.

The judges will probably make them sing a song w/out music in the next rounds anyway.

But if he's pulling the same stunt every week then it'll just get boring and repetitive. And you don't really get many songs with the same impact as Sex on Fire.

I agree with you, but it was good to see somebody who could entertain the crowds as opposed to someone with quite a good voice but is a bit dull. He surely won't make the live shows...

The crowd pleasers will be exposed at judges homes

Yeah definitely, I think Daryl Markham would fall under that category as well; he was aided by his sob story, his actual singing wasn't all that great.

I really liked him, he's the only one who stuck out in yesterday's episode. Not the greatest singer but unlike the likes of Leona Lewis, he has a personality. I'd like to see more of him.

I hated his audition. He couldn't sing the song at all and had the lyrics wrong.
Just another reason why the audience is a bad idea.

Two shows in - I've yet to see anyone deserving of making the live shows.

It was awful the way he kept going "1 2 3 4" before the chorus.I didnt think his singing was bad,but the way he kept talking to the crowd was annoying and his shirt kept lifting up which was disgusting!

I thought he was good but that type of performance wouldnt work at all without the audience, just like the rest who've auditioned, No on is wowing me, but his hair is far too distracting for me, it's HUGE!

And then lost as ratings winners

Remember Chico? Fair singer but great with the crowd. Ratings puller and they kept him over and over.

They need these guys for the live shows.

Really like him singing Sex On Fire, can't see him being good at singing anything but that kind of song though.

I'd give it a wee bit of a trim because we all know he's going to get through to the finals
