Default Joe only Number 1 for 1 week.

That's awful, everyone apart from Joe and Steve were number 1 for ATLEAST 3 weeks and Including Christmas, But joe gets number 1 for 1 WEEK. and if the Campaign he would of got number 1 over Christmas, yes. But still he would of been number 1 for 2 weeks only, Still more of a failure than Leon . Olly or Stacey or Danyl should of won .

Poor Joe. I wasn't a huge fan but the climb is not doing well compared to previous winners.

Also Joe had almost if not 2x more viewers than Shayne and Leona, and yet They outsold him! Joe should of outsold them by 2x the Copies, just proves he is a failure. Also he may end up just outselling Leon, However Joe had more viewers which means more Fans.

XF Intrest has went down alot now its over, thats why.

And this series wasnt all that good either, I can see XF going the same way as Big Brother soon.. only it wont be a race row that kills it..

IAC Will be the last UK Reality Show standing until BB is picked up by another brodcaster.

Doesn't bode well for his career if he can't sustain number 1 for a while when over 19m people watched this year

'Coz we won, innit.

I imagine you would have to be pretty daft to continue supporting a Christmas #1 2009 campaign after the #1 in question was achieved.

I expected it to drop but not that much, I thought it had another few weeks in the top 40 yet

No, hes done poor with 19m people watching him and selling almost 2x less than Shayne Ward, when Joe had 2x more Viewers. So Shayne was around 3x more popular than Joe with 2x Less viewers and Shayne did'nt do that well. So Joe is gunna drop as fast if not faster than Leon theese statistics say.

Lady Gaga- Bad Romance

is number 1 now.

Not a chance. It stood no hope whatsoever in the guise of a mainstream commercial venture. As soon as the campaign was done and dusted it was dead cert to drop.

the same would have happened with everyone else, probably worse considering they didn't get as much support in the end.

he's actually on par with leona in terms of sales and double leon/steve's.

You CANT say that! Leona sold more the 1st week, 2nd week and 3rd week! So how is he on par?? AND joe had 2x more viewers therefore if he was on par he should have sold 2x more than her, If Leona had been on this Year she would of sold like atleast 1.2m the first week other than 400,000! HA.

2x viewers at a PEAK audience. That's for like 5 minutes, viewers will hardly get attached to a contestant enough to go out and buy the single. People who have commited themselves to the show and buy into the brand will be the ones watching each week, and it was only about 2 million up or so from previous seasons on the average live show.

Leon sold about 400k overall, which Joe sold in ONE week. It doesn't matter if Leon had a longer stay at number one, Joe still outsold him in the space of a week. Leona sold 800k of her single and Joe is almost near that now, with about 720k. Joe's chart run is 2-1-2, which hardly screams flop, does it?

The fact Alex/Leona/Leon were number one longer proves there was less chart competition and that's all. This is backed up by the sales figures. So don't sit there spreading your bull**** about Joe being less popular. He won with the most votes ever.

The song is also a factor. Shayne had a brand new song which would have spurred people to go out and buy it. Leona had a song which wasn't a very controversial choice compared to picking a Miley Cyrus song.

It's people like you who are oblivious to the facts and always make a big deal out of nothing are why artists from the X Factor arer subjected to claims they're going to flop before they've even began.

Bear in mind last few years they didn't have facebook campaigns against them. He would've been 2 weeks.

Only number 1 for 1 week? That is still a decent achievement! Some people never get to that point in their career... he has a great stepping stone now to serious success.

Series 1 and 3 figures were never released so you can't say that. Leona apparently won in a 'rough' 60/40 split, rough being the operative word

Well he got 6 million votes. Last year only got 8 million overall and JLS/Alex were practically 50/50. I think it's safe to assume he did.

But you need to look at the proportion of votes. He might have got the most votes ever but not necessarily the highest percentage
