Last night a spokeswoman for Cowell's label Syco told me: "We never guarantee contracts for anyone other than the X Factor winner and this year we've decided to focus on Joe.

"However, we understand there is interest in other finalists from many parts of the musical industry and we hope they all do very well."

Damn right, the whole point of the competition is that the winner gets a contract not all the runners up. Simon shouldn't offer anyone but the winner a contract, if any of the others get a contract with other labels then that is fine... if you work for something hard enough you will get it.

Shame, really, and I guess this completely wipes out any possibility of Lloyd being signed, yet Jedward were.

No, it's a fact. They're more marketable than Lloyd, so that's why they were signed. But they're in no way better singers than him.

Think about it - every week they came out, danced etc.
thats a lot harder to sound in tune, where as Lloyd stood there and sang!
Lloyd mostly impressed teenage girls, and some boys!

we all know Jedward arent the best singers in the world. And never will be.

The dancing was purely for entertainment purposes, and that's the only reason they stayed in - because everybody loved watching them.

There is no denying that Lloyd is a better singer than them, and thus, if they can be signed, so should he. That's my point.

You know Butlins isn't THAT much of a fail, it is a good job to have whilst you are trying to build a career. Many of my actor friends do Butlins during the summer while they have no work.

Maybe its because people expected so much... which they shouldn't of.
