I don't understand how it's considered racist. That is the reason he's brown. Africa is very hot and very sunny, so the skin evolved to build up extra melanin to protect against the sun. right?
Native Americans in Canada have lighter skin than Native Americans in Mexico for the same reason.

It's a perfectly normal question for a 7 year old to ask...I would encourage them to ask these questions so they can learn and not be racist or bigoted

Stupid story, neither of the mothers seem to have though it was that big of a deal, but the school and the Mail have managed to one out of it
