Basically what the title says, do you read a book only once or more than that?
I have some books that I really like and I have read them 5+ times each, my OH thinks it's pointless Last edited by Josy; 26-04-2014 at 10:42 PM. |

Have done but its very rare, would need to be an amazing book
Used to re-read books quite a lot as a kid, especially the Redwall series, read all of them at least twice. For Whom the Bell Tolls is probably the last book I read more than once Last edited by MTVN; 26-04-2014 at 10:46 PM. |

It's a rarity, only because I always have a pretty long reading list (at any one time there's between 5-10 books I want to get through).

Yeah, must have reread harry potter a good half a dozen times, think once i've finished a casual vacancy I'm gonna reread the ASOFAI series, just because i've forgotten half of it already

I don't read that much, I'd like to though. I've read the Hunger Games a couple of times, I really got into them. I have some of the Harry Potter books, but I keep losing interest in it

Yeah, if I adore a book it's get reread but only I say 5-10% of the books I read get reread. Though some books I've read have been so good but so sad that I've only been able to read them the once.

Yeah there's a few I've read at least 3 times. If I love a book I don't mind reading it again after a few years.

I have a large collection of 'old friends' as I think of my books (no, I don't get out much!) and I love to re-read them. Some are so old and tattered because they have been read to death. I still like finding new writers and titles, but my old favourites are the ones I always return to.

Yes, the very good ones on my shelf get a re-read after a few years.
It's like revisiting an old friend you haven't heard from in awhile

It also surprises me sometimes how much little details I seem to miss the first time I read a book that I pick up on when I'm reading it again. |

I'm kind of like this too, in a way i regret reading harry potter when i was so young, because you don't really appreciate it for what it is, or realise how ****ing clever JK is, then when you're rereading and you realise all the little stuff, it's annoying as hell cause you know how it ends

Sometimes. It's like with movies, I don't rewatch/re-read as a rule but if I really enjoyed it or it's something that warrants another go because of all the detail then I will.
