Agree, but the Mail is now a global online news blog with a strong US readership (4th most read non social media site in world) hence Americanisms such as " soccer", $ rather than £ etc

Hazel from BB14 is going out with Andros Townsend.

I know that from looking at the Daily Mail football site - a lot of the links on Daily Mail football sidebar are about players wifes and girlfriends. It's seems to be their main interest in the sport.
