First one that springs to mind is Grandia, which has become a cult classic but back in the day it was lodged between FFVII and FFVIII so got a bit overshadowed
Very popular in Asia but I doubt many people would have heard of the Shenmue series over here in Europe, probably the best game I played on the Original Xbox with Jet Set Radio Future Apart from FFX the best RPG I played on the PS2, the story was incredible So weird and dark but a one of a kind RPG, haven't played anything like it before, the vintage european settings were amazing Post yours.

Absolutely insane, absolutely amazing. Weird and wonderful, there's nothing quite like it around. This whole series should be experienced by anyone with a nintendo console. I'll think of a few more later. |

[kiddie nostalgia post]I spent an unhealthy amount of time on N64's "Snowboard Kids" with the fam'lee. Endless fun, just as good as Mario Kart tbh[/kiddie nostalgia post]

Not sure why it didn't do very well, it was the best classic resi game next to code veronica gameplay wise and not every game in a series needs story, although it added some interesting backstory to racoon city itself though.

One of the most underrated Nintendo title of recent times, just a joy in it's artstyle, gameplay and soundtrack. So goood. Vib Ribbon was really ahead of it's time conceptually, it was a rhythm game which used the music on your memory card or CDs to generate the playing field. Graphically really simple, but a lovely little game. You play a giant boulder with a face rolling down a hill, crushing peasants and villages and attempting to destroy the castle containing a famous historic figure e.g. Atlas or Napoleon. Crazy crazy wonderful stuff. A recent one which deserved way more praise and attention. Such a beautiful game. My favourite point and click series of all time, due to it's low-key nature in the story, the creepy atmosphere and the wonderful style of the game. Underneath it's look it's a rather light point-and-click with Professor Layton style puzzles, but it's still a great story to get yourself into. I'll probably remember way more later.

I agree! I never understood why people hated them so much, they were really fun. It was a real shame the online co-op was never given a chance in Europe, though.
