Default Daily Mail have really lost it today re Scotland

For weeks the vile DM have been attacking Scotland and its referendum, its vilification of AS and the SNP is pathetic to see but today..

This bullying and intimidation is worse than anything I saw in Ulster, writes TOM BRADBY

At best a few signs have been defaced and miliband got shouted at.

Pathetic paper,it shouldn't exist for me.
Always way over the top and usually greatly offensive too.

It seems this has been a very emotive subject and has even divided my Scottish family in many ways. One things for sure though if no wins I will not be going to visit them until it all dies down. I've received abuse for having an English accent at the best of times, I can imagine some very angry people if they stay in the Union.

. I'm sure he's also too scared to drive home from Glasgow, for fear of roadside bombs. Because of course, the violence and extremism currently in Scotland far outweighs anything that those wimpy Middle East war reporters have seen or will ever see.

I've heard they're murdering the first born child of every "No" household.

People are moaning that it has split families

Do they somehow think families should always share a common political vision?

As in the emotive situation has brought up tensions between them. I've had to cut them out of my newsfeed to stop it being filled up with them all arguing with each other. Have a think about it before you face palm people.

The DM is laughable. I don't know anyone who takes that rag seriously any more.

No not at all but that doesn't change the fact that this referendum has indeed split the country and some families down the middle, I said it before but regardless of the outcome tomorrow, the results are going to leave a lasting impact in a lot of ways, the resentment being shown towards others from some people on both sides is really bad, people being labelled traitors and such for daring to have a differing opinion, on the comment section of one of the papers there was actually people calling for all no voters to be rounded up and forced out of Scotland, I mean seriously?

And the hatred that has been shown towards the English from some Scottish people is actually awful. I had no idea this hatred even existed? These are the sort of people that have done no research about the whole thing and are taking Salmond's braveheart fantasy to heart IMO.

It isn't about Scotland vs England it's just a shame some cant or wont see it that way.

I also picked up on Sturgeon starting to say things like 'things wont be better at first` 'It won't be easy' and so on which is basically the SNP now paving the way for the harsh reality because the picture they have painted to the people of Scotland to win votes is so far from the truth it is pathetic.

Yes will swing it tomorrow IMO. I just hope the people of Scotland know what they are letting themselves in for and can come back from this horrible divide in the future.

Yes, my perception is that a lot of Yes voters see this as an opportunity to stick 2 fingers up at the english and Westminster. Cutting off the nose to spite the face .....

The day to day running of the UK doesn't begin and end with the governing political party, its a much bigger beast than that. Scotland has shaped much of the UK as it presently is whether we want to accept that or not, that is what will be most greatly missed by the remaining members of the union should Scotland vote Yes. No one will be better off divided, I'm surprised people don't understand that.

Thankyou for your honest appraisal of things Josy. As you know my gf is Scottish and lives near you as you've both spoke about before and she is incredibly upset that people who have gotten along without any sense of friction have just turned on each other whenever the spark of Independence is brought up. I hope when it's all over you can all work things out with each other because one way or another there are gonna be a lot of pissed off people Friday morning.
