The Strictly Come Dancing 2014 judges line up will see a special fifth judge this year.
Show regulars Len Goodman, Bruno Tonioli, Darcey Bussell and Craig Revel Horwood will be joined by a Donny Osmond for the third live show in October. The pop legend will sit alongside the four usual judges to give his opinion and also mark the performances, giving each celebrity a possible maximum score of 50 points. Although exactly what the point is remains to be seen. A show insider told The Sun on Sunday newspaper (paid link) today: “The bosses were keen to have a guest judge for one of the live shows and Donny seemed an obvious choice.” Donny himself is quoted as saying: “I’ll be looking for partner chemistry and for the performer who is ready to put it all on the line.” But all that’s still to come. For now, Strictly kicks off with its first live show this Friday and Saturday on BBC One, September 26 and 27. All fifteen celebs will perform over the double show although there will be no elimination, but the judges’ marks will carry over to the next week.
