I think 2.3 - 4 for launch, maybe higher. Official around 2.7 I think but could be higher. What are your launch predictions?

IAC ratings are down though, so CBB may do worse unless it capitalizes on it being around New Year's.

No IAC won't effect it, I think even after BB12, CBB9 still got 3.5

The reason im a celeb ratings are down aswell is due to the terrible casting and the fact theres been 1 argument and to much interference from producers. Im going with 3.2 million for launch as January allways rates well. With a good promo campaign and room to freely advertise on all of Viacoms channels aswell it could rate higher than usual. This is the first CBB from Viacom so it really does need to impress. With Channel 5's current ratings though its likely going to triple them nightly anyway so... Lets just pray they get the right group of people, CBB very rarely make a total cock up of casting apart from CBB11 which were 95% boring. Last edited by daniel-lewis-1985; 02-12-2014 at 10:17 AM. |

Reality to has been terrible this year apart from Celebrity Big Brother. The jungle is boring this year and I barely hear anyone talk about it where as last year everyone was talking about it on my school coach.

If it actually starts on friday the 2nd not many people will be out as they would of gone out the night before so i reckon somewhere in the 3m mark maybe 3.3 with a peak of 3.8

Hopefully promotion on other channels owned by Viacom will boost ratings slightly.

I'm on holiday until the 7th so I will miss the first few days which sucks!
But in terms of ratings, I don't really know. The winter series launches quite highly compared to the summer ones. CBB13 launched with 3.4m... and was a 3.69m officially. Summer series (CBB14) launched with 2.36m. So the winter series launched 1m higher. So should we expect ~3m overnight? |

I'm more interested to find out the share! I found it interesting that over the course of its latest series, I'm a Celebrity had a series average of 35% while the last winter CBB has a share of 10.7%, it's nowhere near the status of Im a Celeb, but I thought it was good in comparison for the show to hold a whole tenth of the market, even better when you consider almost 40-50% of UK viewing is shared across multichannels and not the Big 5!
I predict something like 2.9. I think there has been a lack of hype so far, however with the theme of a twisted fairytale, even people I've spoken to who hate the show think it's clever, it'll bring in wider audiences for this reason, I also think with the news of Daniella Westbrooke, that'll help people's interest, particularly all those who watch soaps, and there are a lot who do! I just hope the advertisement on screen is strong, like with Secrets and Lies where we wanted to know so much more than they gave away, creating such a hype! I'd love to see cross channel promotion too, they do it occasionally on ITV and C4 but I'd like to see it in more places! I reckon 3.3 official, after the previous 2 series it could be hard to bring back both the casual viewer and loyal fan! Last edited by Kai Anders; 11-12-2014 at 01:00 PM. |

Ah, what else is it up against? Broadchurch may rate well, but it's quite older skewing isn't it?
