Caroline Flack has been crowned the Strictly Come Dancing 2014 winner in tonight’s final results.



Earlier tonight, Mark Wright finished Strictly in fourth place after the evening’s first vote freeze.

The final four had performed twice for the judges and public, first reprising a past routine as picked out by the panel before wowing with their unique and self-choreographed show dances.

While the panel marked all the dances it was the public alone who decided the winner, with Mark coming out bottom of the public vote.

Mark left Caroline Flack, Simon Webbe and Frankie Bridge to go on to fight it out in the final showdown, with the trio each performing their favourite dance from the past twelve weeks.

The second performances of the evening saw the celebs reprise their favourite dance of the series, with Caroline and Pasha choosing their Charleston to ‘Istanbul (Not onstantinople)’.

For Frankie and Kevin it was the Paso Doble to West Side Story and Simon and Kristina danced their Argentine Tango to ‘Roxanne’ again.



At the end of the night, Caroline was top of the judges’ leaderboard with a perfect 120 points having scored 40 for every dance – a Strictly first – but the marks were only for guidance.

The public votes from the phone lines and those cast for free online via the BBC website alone chose the winner, with over 6 million votes being made.

Hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman then gathered the final three to announce the results, as Caroline was crowned winner of this year’s Strictly.

i wish we knew the voting percentages and told how close it was
i dont think i will bother watching SCD anymore if they keep doing this daft format of fourth place and then straight to announcing the winner

Congrats to Caroline and Pasha, they were the best of the evening, so it was imho a very deserved win. But congrats to all the finalists, it ended up an enjoyable final to watch I think it might be the first time a Charleston has been the dance to clinch it

Very much deserved, Caroline was stunning tonight and I really enjoyed the Take That performance and group dance. That's one thing I'll say for Strictly it always leaves me feeling satisfied at the end. The last 2 years have been amazing.

So pleased she won and she grew within the compettion wasn't a front runner then came straight through ^_^ Also love Pasha too so double win really
Although all the finalists were great on their own merits Frankie was always there. Simon came through so many dance offs and was great also in the final and Mark from being not so good at the start battled to the final ^_^
