Default The Apprentice 2014 winner Mark Wright wants to replace Nick Hewer on the show

Quote:
The Apprentice 2014 winner Mark Wright reckons he could set in for Nick Hewer on next year’s show.

Nick last night confirmed he was stepping down from The Apprentice after 10 years as Lord Sugar’s aide.

He said: “I’ve been pondering my departure from The Apprentice for a while and have decided that year 10 is the appropriate time.”

Lord Sugar commented: “It’s a sad moment for me, because genuinely, when we’re doing the next series, I know I’m going to be looking in that direction and he’s not going to be there.”

But it seems that a replacement is all ready to go with Mark declaring: “If Lord Sugar needs to replace Nick he’s got my CV already. They are big shoes to fill to replace Nick, but I’ve definitely got those shoes.”

Speaking after last night’s final he also joked: “I’ve been practising pulling the faces and I’m getting modelled for glasses.”

Meanwhile, in an interview with The Sun newspaper, Mark even said he’d be the first in line to even replace Lord Sugar on the BBC One series.

“When he finally says, ‘I’ve had enough here’ I’ll go in and do it,” an eager Mark said.

For now, Mark and Lord Sugar will reunite in the New Year to discuss their planned business venture and the £250,000 investment.

The Apprentice returns for what will be its eleventh series next year on BBC One.

I'd rather see Mark fade off into the background.
