Default Do you think Big Brother AU will return for a 12th series?

At the moment, there has been no official confirmation from Endemol or Nine that Big Brother is coming back this year for the 12th series. It's a little strange as we knew this time last year that Big Brother was returning.

The series last year didn't perform well at all and it ended up being a mess towards the end with evictions almost every night. I'm wondering if the show has been axed quietly and won't be announced formally, of if another network is in negotiations with Endemol. From what I understand, the show could move entirely online - like the upcoming first series of Big Brother China.

So, my question is simple - will Big Brother Australia return?

eh it's definitely questionable, but I feel like we won't find out until late this summer since BB Australia announcements seem to be super last minute.

I have not even watched it but everyone says it's really dull so if it's then yeah it should end.

BBAU 9 and 10 were sooooooooooo goood, and rivaled BBUK and BBCan for being my favourite.

Last year was a hot mess of a series, but I hope one bad series doesn't ruin it for the bunch.
I don't know if it was the cast or the poor editing or the bad program decisions or all of the above, but if they hit the rewind button and try to capture some of what it was... it could be so great.

Channel Nine haven't renewed their contract for Big Brother 2015. I doubt we'll see it anywhere else, this year at least.

Possibly if Ten takes it back. It has no future on Nine though.

Nine haven't renewed it. Ten and Foxtel are reportedly in talks, but with Ten I guess it depends on whether they recommission I'm a Celebrity, which considering it's rating about the same (if not better) than BB was last year on Nine (against much tougher competition too) and to Australia is a "new show" I think it's a no brainer to stick with the new rather than bring back a show that's been axed twice. I can't see it ending up on Foxtel (their version of Sky) to be honest - Fox 8 is probably the only channel it could go on and they don't have much original Australian programming.
