The second season of Big Brother Mzansi (fourth South African season overall) will launch March 26, running for 56 days. I doubt none of us are going to watch it but here's a thread for it ^_^

I'll watch the launch and then see whether or not I want to watch it.

Sounds very messy, and we thought bb11 was bad...

I always watch the first few days of the African versions and then forget about it once links start to not appear etc. might try and watch again this time but doubt I'll stick with it.
Also, slightly off topic but the South African Survivor latest season was amazing <333

eh, I Wiki-watched last year's BB Mzansi and it was 18 HMs in 63 days but it didn't look too hectic? They had some twist at the start that was similar to BB Australia's White Room which got rid of 4 of them right away, and they only had double evictions in the last two weeks, and then 6 in the final. So given that, I don't think 56 days will be that bad. I know BBUK has us conditioned to thinking we need to push it towards triple digits but I'd much rather have a 9-11 week long series.

It doesn't actually look that messy. Like Macie said, the triple eviction (would have been quadruple I think but one was ejected the day before) was part of a twist whereas BB11's quadruple was just...bad and it happened in week 2, so it didn't look like a desperate attempt to get rid of excess baggage.

Right, and since it happened in the beginning of the series and they were evicted from the Chamber or whatever, I don't even know if they're considered full-fledged housemates. 14 people were in the actual house and it lasted 63 days. Doesn't seem too unreasonable to me.

Was the last series any good?
I've tried to find a torrent for it as a complete series but can't.

Wiki-watching this, and regarding the 'rape' incident that took place last month: I'm not sure whether the female housemate wanted to go or not, but if she didn't - it seems very shady that they removed her presumably because the show revolves around pairings and there would have been an odd number of housemates to just remove the male contestant.
This season is nearly over, 8 housemates/4 pairings left - presumably one pairing will leave this week leaving 3 pairings/6 housemates in the final. |
