Default Leicester City's secrets of success

!

Want to see a full investigation into this.

LVG and Remi Garde probably trying to order a transfer now.

Apparently one of the few games these guys didn't attend are the first Arsenal defeat and the boxing day Liverpool defeat.

89th min goal for sub Leonardo "Messi doesn't know who I am " Ulloa. Wow, can Leicester do it, they were poor today but still got 3 points.

Might as well turn this into an all purpose LCFC thread.

"Leicester winning the title won't be the greatest achievement in Premier League history. Liverpool never winning it is far better #MUFC"

Too true, and if Man City can beat them in the cup tomorrow that gives Birmingham another year where we've won a cup in the last decade compared to Liverpool's 0 despite them spending five times the money on players compared to us.

In all seriousness though Leicester are playing like how the old Man Utd teams used to be like, they can have an off day and still get something out of the game which is something that Man Utd used to do.

They also can lose a game and bounce back in the next game which again is something that a top team like Man Utd used to be able to do, what Chelsea used to be able to do, and what Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Atletico Madrid are currently doing in La Liga.

You do realise Liverpool won the League cup a year after Birmingham?

Bib: yes. It's been bugging me of what LCFC remind me. They are like a budget/ poor man's Fergie early era (1988- 1991 before CO92) Man U (McClair, Hughes #2, Pallister, Parker).

Okay they've tied with us then despite spending 500 times the money that we've done.

Wow, LCFC drop points against football vomit WBA to draw but still extend lead as AFC, Spurs, Man C all drop points.

Watford @ Vicarage Road will be tough for LCFC. Ighalo and Deeney were all over Man U and deserved to win but lost. They will be pumped up for this one. LCFC conversely did Man U a favour by drawing WBA when the deserved to win.

Kante needs to return asap, Fuchs defend to perfection, Mahrez, Drinkwater and of course Vardy will need to be on top form, as Spurs will beat Arsenal, almost guaranteed.

Pellegrini: Pressure will prove too much for Leicester City

Quote:
Me: Dear Mr Pellegrini
You are a charming talented Man with a lot to give football. However your laughable attempt at doing mind games really isn't the route you should be going down. You are just a nice guy it probably won't work, I'm afraid.

You see, Pellers, this talk about pressure getting to Leicester is nonsensical. Leicester have spent the last 2 seasons under worse pressure, real pressure. This season is so unexpected, almost like a sweet lovely reward for the terrors of last season's relegation fight. The Leicester players can now play safe in the knowledge they are 2 points away from European football. And they will get paid their relegation survival bonuses. Will your lot get paid their title bonuses? Fighting relegation brings far more pressure than failing to win a title. How many times has Wenger been sacked in last 10 years?

Leicester's last 2 seasons have been hugely about pressure. Season 2013/14 Pressure to get promoted to lucrative Premier League when they had failed to proceed in play offs in previous year and were then clear favourites. So they have experience going for a title in a competitive environment. Season 2014/15 pressure to avoid relegation. Being rooted to the bottom of Premier League often 6 points adrift of Burnely and QPR (they were still bottom 1 years ago, AV have to take comfort from that). Yet they overcame the pressure and manager Pearson being sacked and reinstated and went on an incredible run to climb to 14th place. If anything Leicester will fail due to getting too cocky and complacent, thinking they can beat the likes of Newcastle, Crystal Palace and forget what it's like to battle for survival.

If I were you, Mr Pellegrini I would focus on the pressure on you. You spent Ł47m on Sterling and Ł50m on "sicknote" De Bruyne. And where has that got you? Those 2 purchases alone cost 3 times the entire Leicester squad.

Hope you find this helpful and doesn't give you pressure.

Kindest regards

Alex Front2

The problem with Pellegrini is he's aiming the mind games at wrong target, it should be Arsenal who he targets. So what if LCFC fail? They have a squad made up from sticky back plastic, blue tack and string. Ngolo Kante was the big name purchase for about Ł4m, from a French League 2 side. A tenth of Raheem Sterling. Leicester - no offence to the Foxes - are small time. The fact that he could only get MC to draw at King Power and lost at Ethihad should be his prime concern.

Arsenal, Man City and Man U are the ones who have to deliver. Pellegrini is lucky as his 'leaving' means he can feck off without worrying.

I'd prefer Leicester to win it, just to stick two fingers up to the big spenders, however I don't think they'll see it out. They've been fantastic all season, but the winner will be the one who finishes the strongest and I think April and May will see them collapse (I'd like to be wrong on this), in April and May it's gonna be a case of every game being a cup final, and I'm not sure they'll have enough left in them to manage that schedule.

My Heart say's 'The Foxes' my Brain say's 'The Lillywhites'

Leicester's fixture list is on paper the easiest.

Spurs and Arsenal run ins are tough.

I'm not so sure, you still have to play, Newcastle, Crystal Palace, Sunderland and Swansea who are all fighting for their lives to survive, and you have to go to Stamford Bridge and Old Trafford which are not easy tasks.

True, LCFC play better against the top sides. Mind you by the time they play Man U they may have won the title already.

Could Newcastle have new manager effect?

I expect an extra spring in their step on Monday night.

Agreed, they will play better now. It's no longer the guaranteed 3 points. Also NUFC have good players eg Wijnaldum was PSV Champion with Depay last season. He could walk into a lot of tier 2 European sides.

After 1-0 NUFC: Okazaki's goal was brilliant. Better than Bentekes bycile v Man U. Wow bang goes the new manager Benitez positive bounce theory. Although NUFC were not thrashed as some predicted.

Beginning to believe the possibility LCFC are the new EPL champions. Plenty of games to go of course but the Poch must be furiously wondering if his BDortmund con trick gamble was worth it.

Next game for them a resurgent Crystal Palace, well they won an FA CUP game against Reading .

What's interesting is PSG 1970 won. ligue 1 title 9-0 by about 20 points, yet Spurs and Leicester are limping over the finish line like 2 fat sweaty middle aged men.

Nice commeratative 60th birthday tribute from Rayo Vallecano fans to late Laurie Cunningham who died in 1989 aged 33 in a car accident. For those unaware he was at the time the second black England international and he started his career at Leyton Orient and went on to play for a string of clubs including West Bromwich, Real Madrid , Man U, and Leicester City.

I love Rayo Vallecano fans, they are brilliant like St Pauli fans.
