Default is emma right?

Was the lack of airtime hogging villain what made this series great? i mean there are housemates I hated but they weren't snatching all the attention like Helen or Marc..... Also was vote to evict a good think after all seeing as it got rid of the horrible attention hogs like Marco out early?

It's always good when one housemates doesn't monopolise the attention (ahem Marco ahem).

She was right but vote to evict still sucks and the only reason the evictions weren't to the detriment of the series this year was because of how strong the cast was. It's proof that if you cast well the evictions don't matter, unfortunately that isn't usually the case. Any other year and this eviction pattern would've been just as tragic

Sam/Laura/Ryan and the best eviction in history Sam and Alex is proof that VTS works...with minimal problems

lol if this series was VTS we would have lost people like Emma and Jayne in the early weeks and be stuck with Marco and Georgina

I suppose it's nice to have a "villain" character who was actually a villain in the context of the game as opposed to a massive **** in the context of everything win

And Charlie/Laura aside, the boot order was pretty much perfect so I've no complaints there

yeah but if only a few cast members are interested isn't the series doomed anyway? i mean how can the storyline in the house progress if its just a bunch of irrelevant people leaving and the same dominating character having the same rows etc (see perez and katy or helen v ashley). one of the reasons i like this series was because of how the people who left massively altered house dynamics and we pretty much got a new storyline every week.

That's literally the only thing she did

Emma was brilliant yeah she wasn't a huge character but her unstable nature made for amazing viewing.

Of course, it wasn't a criticism, it was an appraisal of how good the cast was. I'd much rather it be like this every year and then the eviction pattern wouldn't matter as it didn't this series. I'm just saying it rarely is like this so VTE is still crap, self destructive and counter productive in any regular series which this one wasn't

I do think Natalie should have stayed longer though, the series took a *slight* dip the week after her eviction before it picked up again

Yeah I agree with you like I prefer the older seasons where boot order literally didn't matter much because the house moved on and the cast were still delivering. But if the cast isn't like this and only some housemates entertaining, vts isn't always going to make much of a difference. Vets means that one dominating character, no matter how horrible and over powering they are, will make it far and yeah that means drama till the end but imo that can be just as boring as a series where the hm's like each other. Take Marc for example he caused a lot of **** and I first I found it funny and entertaining but after a full week of just Marc v everyone I was just bored of watching basically the same argument everyday. Like I would honestly rather watch a week of the housemates just chatting and having a laugh. Another example is perez v katy they were kept in through their series because of all their explosive arguments and i used the drama but by week 2 I was just frustrated and bored by it all.

Emma was spot on, the problem with BB15 and 16 was that Helen and Marc dominated everything (and the Power HM and timebomb twists were badly handled). BB17 has succeeded because most of the cast shined and, aside form Marco, there were no overpowering characters plus no awful nomination twists either.

Now if they only drop the painfully manufactured drama tasks....

Hopefully the really negative reaction they got from not only here but twitter and fbook mean they will re consider all messy drama tasks.

They need to understand that drama will occur naturally if they let it. They don't need to manipulate proceedings.
