Default C4 vs C5 series comparisons

BB12 is like BB8
BB13 is like BB6
BB14 is like BB7
BB15 is like BB10
BB16 is like BB11
BB17 is like BB5

Anyone agree?

I agree with these comparisons.

I think BB16 is a mixture of both BB8 and BB11. BB8 in terms of abysmal production and the fact both series are riddled with useless and awful twists in order to boost ratings when it did the opposite and both received worryingly low ratings at the time. BB11 because of the awful boot order, weak set of finalists, the quadruple eviction and the fact that both of them didn't really feel like BB series at all. All three of them also share the fact they have the worst male casts ever.

I don't really see any similarity between 6 and 13 but I'd say others are pretty accurate. I don't really remember BB10 that much so what links that to power trup again?

I agree with the 17 and 5 comparison, I'd compare 16 to 4 though, and I haven't seen the others

The only similarity between BB10 and BB15 that I can make out are the curved walls in their house designs. Other than that, they're nothing alike whatsoever. BB15 was an ugly, convoluted series with a cast that was just as unpleasant as the production that year and even though I don't rate BB10 that highly at all, it's nowhere near the same league of awfulness as BB15. BB10 was just meh for me - I don't love it, but I don't particularly hate it either. I just found it quite flat and depressing at the time, but then again I haven't seen it since it originally aired.

BB5 and BB10 were nothing like BB15 and BB17

BB6 was way better than BB13 but I see it

For me, the comparison between BB5 and BB17 isn't so much that the two series were similar because of the house/housemates, it's more because it came straight after 'the dull series', was a huge step up from the last series and was more entertaining with better housemates, had a different feel to it and made changes to the format.

I also think Lateysha/Hughie/Ryan were like the Lip Gloss Bitches and Jason/Andy were like the Jungle Cats.

I don't even think BB16 is poorly received because it was the 'dull series' (if anything that's BB12) it's unpopular because of its heavy interference and meddling by the production team - the same reason BB15 was poorly received. Although it's subjective really as you can dislike a series for different reasons.

But I don't really think the BB17 format differed all that much from BB15/16 in the same way BB5's format differed from BB1-4. The only thing different in BB17 was that there was no theme and we had more normal nominations but the production was just as diabolical as the previous two series. It only really struck lucky with the casting.
