I love how every judge apart from Louis has strayed from the theme, who'd have thought it
Michael Jackson, Vanilla Ice, Sam Smith and Freddie Mercury being considered 'divas' is laughable.

Matt Terry: Mariah Carey - I’ll Be There
An underwhelming song choice. I know that Matt will still pull it off vocally as he's got a strong voice. However, I'm sick of hearing this song every year on The X Factor. The X Factor need to update their songbook for diva week. Ryan Lawrie: Adele - Rolling in The Deep Again this song is far too big for his limited, flat singing voice and blatantly he shouldn't even be in the competition after the mess of a performance he did the past two weeks. I would've saved Freddy over him last week. Not happy with a mediocre, cr** singer taking on one of the biggest songs by a truly incredible artist. Emily Middlemas: Whitney Houston - How Will I Know You know what, I'm getting really fed up of Emily's boring song choices. I thought she was one of my favourites in the competition in the auditions but now I'm finding her more John Lewis advert singer than pop star. Her guitar is the tool to help her win and without that she's a very limited singer with no depth in her voice and she doesn't stand a chance. Sam Lavery: Michael Jackson - Earth Song With the way her past two performances have gone, I wouldn't have taken a risk giving Sam a song like this. Michael Jackson is one of the greatest singers forever loved and missed. Sam is nowhere near up to his standard and her voice is far too hoarse and I'm getting sick of that annoying donkey vocal technique she does every week. It's so irritating. Gifty Louise: Sam Smith - Lay Me Down Finally, we get a ballad from Gifty. This could actually be the week where she blows everybody away with the power and strength in her voice. Her performance on live show 1 fell flat, last week's was fabulous and this week could potentially be even better. I look forward to this. Honey G: Vanilla Ice / Queen - Ice, Ice Baby/Under Pressure I get why Queen's Freddy Mercury was a diva but I'm not so sure about Vanilla Ice lol. With Honey G, she's entertaining and I know that she's going to make us all smile after witnessing the fodder songs that have been picked above. Relley C: Aretha Franklin - Natural Woman This is a fantastic song choice for Miss Relley C. This IMO is one of the hardest songs ever written to sing and I believe that she will pull it off like she did with Ain't No Sunshine last week and Praise You the week before. She's becoming one of the strong contenders to win and one of my favourites. Saara Aalto: Bjork - Oh So Quiet Wow, this is my favourite song choice from her so far. When she first auditioned, I always imagined her singing this song and I feel that this could be the moment where the public finally get behind her after her naff performances in the past couple of saturdays. I'm so excited to hear this. 5 After Midnight: Amy Winehouse - Valerie Another solid song choice. These guys remind me of a group called A.K.N.U. who were on The X Factor USA's final season in 2013. They also sung Valerie and I feel that both versions will be great. Btw, I loved 5AM's performance last week. Four of Diamonds: Lady Marmalade/Bang Bang - May, Pink / Lil' Kim, Jessie J, Arianna Grande. Again this is another X Factor girl band does an X Factor girl band copycat performance. Last week they sung You Keep Me Hangin' On which Little Mix done so much better and this week they're doing Lady Marmalade in which Hope sung in series 4. Also Bang Bang was sung by 4th Impact in last year's auditions. I feel there's no originality been put into this band so far in the live shows and all these songs have been done before and probably better. I think they could be at risk of being in the bottom three unfortunately. Incredibly disappointing NOTE 1: I agree with Liam- that Relley, Saara, Gifty and 5AM might be the stand-outs again based on the song choices alone Last edited by DaNasty; 21-10-2016 at 02:22 PM. |

They should just do a "songs sung by people who remind you of a young Lenny Henry" night and be done with it
