5-9 was their peak. 14-17 was their worst.

CBB actually peaked on the early days of C5, but the last couple series might mean its now at its worst already.

2004-2005 was the peak and then a nose dive after the CBB5 disaster to its worst between 2007-2008.

I used to think it reached it's peak at BB6, but now I think it's peak was between BB1 and BB5 excluding BB4.

It's been downhill ever since. BB8 was probably the worst, and the channel 5 version is only Big Brother by name, but it's not really Big Brother.

C5 put the final nail in the coffin with BB. It's gotten to the point where the number of bad series are outnumbering the number of good series. Plus some of the very worst series in the franchise have come from C5 (CBB8, BB12, CBB11, BB15, BB16, CBB18)

2005 had the best series for quality, 2006 was the peak of the show

This (glad the first few series are included, was a different kind of show and less 'entertaining' than the 2004-2006 era but still top quality for what it was imo)

2004-2006 was at it's best.

It's worst probably 2011-present. C5 have produced some good series' but it's getting to the point where there's at least 2 bad series' for every 1 good.

I'm sorry but pls don't put 2012 in the same group as c5's other messes.

Season 4 was filled with the most boring housemates and even that was more watchable than the last few seasons. Big Brother to me has become a put it on in the background tv show rather than watching it with interest. Personally, I think it is time to take it off the air but I still watch.

2004-2006 was their peak, it felt fresh and organic, everything else since then has felt like they were trying to hard to recreate something, now with all the gimmicks pre-show it looks like they don't have any belief that 'normal' people can be entertaining without the added gimmicks.

I'd say when Nikki Graham was in it. It was flawless back then. Now it's just a shadow of it's former self.

For me between BB2 to halfway into BB7. None of those BB's made me want to turn off, it still had somewhat normal housemates and not overload with fame hungry wannabe's. Plus you didn't have the producers trying to interfere too much like they did later on. BB 5 and 6 were pure classic. BB4 is underrated. BB 2 and 3 were very enjoyable. First half of BB7 the last truly great BB for me.

2010 was the worst, at least with bb16 i could get a good laugh every now and then over how cheap the show was like with that silly timebonb machine and some of the bizarre production decisions... bb11 was just so boring. i remember paying £15 or whatever it was for access to the online feeds yet every time i viewed it, all they would show was josie and jj in bed together. ugh it was abysmal. i would not be still watching the show now if channel 4 kept it and continued to go down the path they were taking it in in their final couple of years.

They like to do theme's on Big Brother now.

Well I'd like to see them try the theme of 'Back to basics'.

So try it out with the original concept. Just to see if it could still work, and to see if it could be better than what we get served up now.

Unknown people, who have never met before.

Absolutely no outside contact (unless of emergency), that includes hearing the crowed on eviction night.

Chickens, vegetable patch and mangle.

Good tasks. (Thing's like the record attempt's in BB2, I think Dean broke a World record)

Set rules on nominations and evictions. Nobody gets to know your nominations, and only the people with the 2 most nom's are up.

The Diary room is your place of privacy, No showing housemates entry's to the other housemates.

And of course, 24hr a day Live feed.

They can do their manufactured version with the celebrities.
