Dermot said there'll be a sing off about three times tonight, it's not been public vote only at the semi final stage since 2012 (and at the quarter finals since 2009 ). Sad, but that's the way it is

Thats completely annoying. I can't believe I've never been annoyed at this before. Why should judges choose who gets to the final?

I think I'm annoyed cos it says too much about the voting numbers when it gets that low down, and the tension in the final is ruined. There should be a gap between the judges vote and the final public vote.
