What does James Cosmo bring to CBB? So far, he has been boring.
He is either alseep or half asleep for his whole time in the BB house. He seems to be a wrong cast for CBB. |

He's a really nice man but I agree, think he would've been much more suited to IAC. Having said that he seems nice and I wouldn't be too bothered if he did end up winning.

However, I admit he is most likely to win. |

The lack of diversity in big brother is why its so ****, theyre all boring z list celeb models. Cbb is good because its not always full of loud mouths.

Well what have a lot of CBB/BB entrants brought over all series.
For instance Coleen,in 2 series now all she has brought is victim playing and a near permanent miserable face. James has probably talked a fair bit as to his career which likely hasn't been shown with the uproar with others in the house. I wish he'd done and said more but his choosing Speidi for eternal nomination, with the knock on fallout of that to Speidi and Nicola and even Jamie, has been a major part of the series. |

I'm sick of hearing that JC is a nice man. I'm a nice man, as are all of my friends, but we would be boring as hell on CBB, and it would be stupid to put us up against the other brilliant characters in the house.

He is not 'just' a nice man though is he? he is interesting to some of us and it's nice to have a sane person in amongst the loonies.

Exactly, it's refreshing to have someone like James in the house

for all those saying james C lack of action is dulling the show I would highlight it is exposing how all the others are ie use of language - rudeness and social interaction with each other.
a lovely gent who has done so well to keep his marbles in there for so long. I can see what you are saying about if he was to win - but if the majority of people vote out james Jordon - what chance is there of having a decent winner ? |

He's not even that nice . The way he was looking at Chloe in one episode. I wasn't a Chloe fan and I can understand why he didn't like her at all, especially with all the "Santa" stuff... but there's a difference between disliking someone, and looking at them like they're something you want to scrape off of your shoe. I think he (quietly) has a very inflated opinion of himself, and believes that having had a more serious career with a few high-profile highlights makes him a better calibre of person than others... when in reality, one's career has absolutely **** all to do with what sort of human being they are.

but he may think that and we are all entitled to think what we want - he has never been rude or disrespectful to anyone and this goes in his favour.

I don't think that's true though? James isn't boring imo, he just doesn't shout and cause lots of arguments (although technically he was the cause of all the Speidi/Nicola drama so last nights episode would have been very boring had it not been for him, and we're seeing a whole new Speidi emerge because of him too). If the things he says and does bores you then fair enough but that doesn't mean he's not saying or doing anything, it just depends what you consider 'interesting' I suppose. Personally I think James is great to watch and I find him interesting as a person and like Withano said, you need all sorts of different people to bounce of each other and make the show watchable. I liked Chloe as well but if the house was full of people like her it would be dreadful and there'd be no variation from one scene to another. He's not suited to CBB in terms of it's current state and what we've come to expect from it but that's because of it becoming trashy and less attractive to people like James to take part in so I think it's great he's doing it despite that, and he's absolutely suited to the core concept of the show of putting different people, personalities and life experiences together and I'd much rather have the show go in that direction with their casting than have it be an inane Geordie Shore version 2 type show.

He is perfect for this series, a quiet man against a houseful of wannabe gob****es, sometimes it is good to watch people keeping it real amongst all the play acting and hysterics of the rest.

The house is so miserable - this is why I liked Bear - there is no fun - they re all miserable - they all cant stand each other any more - it just feels so dull and tired this year. Funny considering how Loud the house makeover is. Even Jedweird cant liven things up. Nikkis Crying - Spencers scowling - Kims being quiet - Callums whining - this is why they need a cocktail!! |

He's far more clued up than he's trying to portray. He acted innocent when he nommed Speidi for eternal eviction saying they can go on their skiing hol, but then he had a later conversation about them being gameplayers and reality experts and were in it to win it (or whatever he said, but it was along those lines). He knew exactly what he was doing.
I'm not particularly fussed if he wins but he's nowhere near my top 3. I do think he's coasted through. I wish he'd stood up for people a bit. There have been some major rows around him and he's not once stepped in. I know people don't always need to poke their noses in, but when someone's being shouted at for no reason or picked on or bullied, it would take a real man to say 'enough'. |

As a viewer I would say that he is some what of an outsider who doesn't appear to give much to the show in the way of entertainment,(if you deem entertainment to be confrontational, foul mouthed, aggressive, sexual etc etc )
But I'm sure living in that house, for some, he is the stability that they need when dealing with what appears at times to be a pressure cooker atmosphere... |
