He has a point, he can't bring himself to say he would arm the subs.
I can understand his viewpoint ( not that I agree with it) , but he has to sit and write that letter telling the Vanguard class subs to press the button if we are attacked.
I think it simply goes against his principles.

Jesus Christ, when are people going to realise that "if we are attacked" it's already too late and it doesn't matter who presses what buttons.

Are we really having a conversation about who nukes who first in a thread having a go about Jeremy Corbyn possibly welcoming terrorist attacks?

Doesn't work that way I'm afraid. They launch, we launch or we lauch, they launch. There is no "one sided" nuclear strike. If we are attacked with nuclear weapons, or ever fire a nuclear weapon, your best and only hope is to be within the immediate blast radius of one of the first few bombs so that your death is as quick and painless as possible. This is the reality of Nuclear weapons and Nuclear warfare. The sooner people get their heads around that, the better.

Yes, we will all fry together.
However knowing that we will press the button if we have to instead of just sitting like a pan of fishfingers waiting to fry would help.
Saying he would not be happy with drones picking off terrorist leaders doesn't help either.
The fact that the labour spokesman had to come out and explain that his views are not labour policy is quite telling.

I mean i agree with it.I've been saying it about Corbyn for ages.It is transparent as feck though that this comes out again now in the run up to the electrician. It's too obvious that it's election propaganda even if it is true.

This is true. One up and all up.
There has been talk of small scale tactical nukes though. If one sides forces are getting hammered.Obviously you wouldn't use it against another nuclear power like Russia or China but i could see Trump using against NK or Iran.

Trump will probably hit NK as soon as China gives the green light and says that NK is no longer under their protection tbh.

Yes, I can see that on the cards, I always thought George Bush jnr. was trigger happy but Trump makes him look like the milky bar kid in comparison.

I always felt (and even moreso now considering some of what he's said since leaving office) that Bush was little more than a figurehead. There are always people behind the scenes pulling the strings but I think Bush was essentially pretty much never acting on his own decisions, it was all driven by advisors. Trump is increasingly looking like a loose cannon.

I wonder if China would rather go in themselves and sort Kim Jong out than let America go in and increase their sphere of influence in the area.
